I answer the question nobody asked (actually one dude did) Could Tsunade defeat the Akatsuki? The answer is no, but she'd does a lot better than you might think.
I think if they both start on the ground Tsunade could speed blitz him but if Deidata starts in the air then yeah she loses. For Sasori though she can probably just heal through the poison and she’s faster than the form of Sakura that fought him. I think she might be able to destroy the puppet thing that was around his body then finish him off right after.
Yeah, I agree on the deidara possibility, it’s why I included a brief blurb on Sasori. Deidara is at an overwhelming disadvantage on the ground and I remembered but didn’t include that tsunade is actually extremely proficient with lightning style. She was able to rewire kabuto’s entire nervous system using lightning style. She should be able to disable all the bombs in theory at least given she figured out the counter. But against sasori even if she heals the damage it wouldn’t stop and only get worse as the fight continues as she is careless with her hundred healings active which I assumed she would have started against Kakazu. Also my understanding is that Sasori uses heavy metal poisons, not sure as to what specifically, but if that’s the case she is just delaying death as all her cells lyse and the more she intakes the faster the damage would accumulate. She would have to neutralize it with the medicine sakura made or expunge the metals from her body somehow, which she couldn’t, so she would inevitably die regardless of healing. I think at best she draws with him given she has had 100 healings active for 3 fights at the point she would reach Sasori.
I can see that being the case for sure. Like if she was in sakura’s place during the kazekage retrieval, (and for some reason Sasori didn’t recognize her and chiyo got over her haterade) she might one shot him even through his Hiruko puppet. Or if this was an unexpected 1v1. Silly to say, but I imagined for this fight to be more like “Enter the Dragon” or “Game of death” gauntlet style wherein, if you are up next (akatsuki) you know or just saw that the person you are about to fight just rocked somebody who is almost as strong as you. So resetting Sasori to his weakest form and not starting him at full power 3rd kazekage and 100 puppets wouldn’t really fit the narrative. Not to mention him trying to fight a kage let alone a hokage at anything less than full power isn’t too realistic. He’s +35 and the Sannin are world famous as a trio stronger than the gokage. He wouldn’t underestimate her, if anything he would overestimate her and be too cautious. Also, he is faster than shown since he was holding back against his grandma and wanted to lose (and Sakura was being used like a puppet amped) the databooks have him faster than Tsunade too so a blitz’s doesn’t seem likely in any context other than lady chiyo being there.
I still find it weird that Deidara said Sasori is more powerful than him when feats show the exact opposite. Either way, Tsunade would get stomped by both. I would give her a better chance against someone like Kisame, although I think she would lose that one as well. Also, I think she would do OK-ish against Pain
Yeah, we only ever see depressed $uicidal Sasori so we get the worst look at him in the series, but the data books and by their own statements imply that Sasori is stronger (Sasori is stronger than them all by rating). He is literally more than twice as strong as gaara who is more or less an equal to deidara (his base body is greater than the strongest kazekage and he has him as a puppet). Honestly I can see arguments for Tsunade winning all three of those fights but it doesn’t seem supported by the narrative. She is an extremely proficient lightning style user so she could disable deidaras bombs in theory (she rewired kabuto neurons with lightning style) she has speed and power to one shot Sasori if he fought her head on and not from range (but she would inevitably die to his poison more of a draw) and kisame also dies in close range but he can literally just drown her lol. But in character they should know how much of a threat she is and fight from range and avoid close encounters. Pain as in tendo, I think she does well but all six isn’t close at all. The preta path could physically restrain sage Naruto and I don’t see any evidence to suggest she is as strong as him physically so a banshō ten’in head lock kills her outright. Not to mention the animal path just outright soloing her. She is a real threat though and given ideal circumstance could win any of those fights.
