I'd be hesitant. If he doesn't hit well over .300 he's not that valuable. He doesn't play defense. He doesn't run the bases well. Doesn't walk and has limited power. Reminds me a lot of Jeff McNeil from that standpoint. Once that average slipped below .300 he just wasn't contributing.

I would be over the MOON 🌙 if the Yankees could get Arraez. All this guy does is make contact with the ball and get on base. Imagine this guy in the Yankees lineup hitting ahead of Judge, Soto, Stanton, etc… it would be a dream scenario. The amount of times Arraez would just hit a single and then one of the power hitters would just smash a home run. The only guy I wanted on the Yankees more was Juan Soto… so if we got Arraez, this team would literally be like if I were playing a video game, but in real life!

I would trade Gleyber and Jones plus anyone not named Dominguez for Arraez and one of the Marlins right handed starting pitchers maybe throw in a lower lever reliever Matt Blake could work with.

I have been waiting a long time for the Yankees to trade for this guy. He is a perfect for this team. He can hit, gets on base and drives in runs. This is the one player I might trade Jones for.

Arraez is a dream. Leadoff for the yankees ....Arraez? Well thats a miracle. I would do it in a second. Three prospects, plus Peraza, would probably get it done. I’m a big Yankees fan and would love Arraez but this won’t happen and would require a very big haul since he has 2 years of control. I would trade Spencer jones and other prospects for him but this would have to include Cabrera from the marlins.

If Cashman somehow pulls off getting Luis Arraez, not only can no Yankee fan ever talk crap about cashman again, not only will we likely win the world series, but put Cashman in the Hall of Fame. He is the ONLY player I'm ok trading Jasson Dominguez for. I would do Dominguez, Nestor, Peraza, Warren and Pereira for him.

This trade makes no sense. Can’t imagine what the fans that go haywire every time Gleyber makes an error would do with Arraez one of the worse defensive 2B in the league. By Baseball Savant metrics he is one the worst defenders. Currently the worst range and a fielding run value of -10. That sits in the bottom 4 percentile.

They should have gotten ohtani. This is the Yankees. They could get anyone. His contact is not that bad considering the advertising money he brings. A little surprised they didn’t want to make history.

Yankees need to stop operating as though Soto will automatically re-sign after the 2024 season. In that scenario they will need both Dominguez and Jones to cover the outfield with Judge. If the Marlins want either Dominguez and/or Jones, the Yankees should not trade for Arraez. Trade anyone else (Torres, Peraza, Pereira, Verdugo, Ramirez, Lombard, Warren, Selvidge, et al). Better strategy may be to wait until 2024 trade deadline for the Marlins to be more receptive and eager to trade Arraez.

Trading Spencer Jones for a 2 time batting champ, whats there to think about, I'd add Torres as well. Arreaz is the perfect leadoff hitter or number 2, then Soto, Judge, Stanton, and Rizz behind that, this would be insane. 2 time batting champ at 26, hes not even at his peak yet. Marlins would be crazy to give him up.
