Although i quite understand that English language is not native to us and we speak the language base on our cultural thoughts and views, notwithstanding a journalist who must use English language as medium of communication must be careful how he or she uses sensitive word. It's quite unfortunate for a journalist to be asking if a siting president is looking for legitimacy. Please let's leave sentiments alone no matter how bad the law of a country may be as long it's the one guiding the operation of that society whatever it confers legitimacy to do not need any other form of legitimacy. This is the problem of the black man / the African man. Instead of solving problems we hop from one irrational decision to the next , a decision not thought through- looking for an immediate solution - a quick fix. Building a country does not work that way. It took a revolution and a civil war to get the united States operating in its current form. We are going through what Europe and USA went through at infancy. 70 years is young for a nation. Our development was stunted by Europe via colonisation! We now get a chance to start over. Even if we broke up, are we not still taking the same corrupt people and politicians into the respective regions. How does this solve any problem. The nigerian problem exists across all sub Sahara africa because of the weak , docile citizens and bad politicians. Suffer and smile. Government must be made to realise that they serve the people not the other way around. Until we the people begin electing quality politicians- not based on tribe, religion, nepotism, cronyism etc, then there is no chance regardless of how many ways we break up the country. You are right but the north is actually not supposed to be suffering, maybe that's the issues. Some others already knew they are marginalised and even in the midst of starvation it is not new
