Looks nice, but for me a single Bit, with the back used for a hammer its just more utility when weight is a factor. All that said, as part of toolset, ATV, horseback, canoe etc, it would viable, but for backpacking a single bit, with the back side used as a hammer gives more.

council tool is continuing to knock it out the park and I think Craig Roost is a big reason why. Thanx from all of us Axe Junkies!!

I love it, but it is not in my budget. In the 1980's I purchased a Norland double bit, the sheath has long ago worn out, and currently is hung on a fiberglass handle. I paid about $20 - $30 for it. That was about 3 to 6 hours of labor price. This Council tool double bit would come out to be over 13 hours wages. I guess I need to learn to make my own axes. I think I would be able to keep my man hour cost to under 13 hours.

Question for ya Dave . . . i have been watching alot of videos about survival kits, but something I have noticed not to many people touch up on is organization for a kit, what are some ways to help stay organized kit wise to be better prepared. . . would it be possible if u could do a video on this please . . . thanks much Mike

Dave, I love the videos like this, thank you for staying true to your format unlike so many others that just chase views.

I prefer slimer axe for deeper wood penetration. This axe still look good

I love the way the blades are cut out to retain the splitting width but reducing the weight. Nice to have two different grinds as well.

Dave. Why is the shipping so expensive feom your store? I want one of these and your bottle system, but the shipping is half the priseM
@DavidCanterbury
@DavidCanterbury 7 лет назад
We don't set the shipping charges they are automated through the shipping system of the carrier, do you live outside the US?
@jguitarz1
@jguitarz1 7 лет назад
Shipping does vary depending where you live and the weight of an item along with estimated delivery etc.
@YankeeWoodcraft
@YankeeWoodcraft 7 лет назад
Expensive is a relative term. A cup that takes a 6"X6" box to be delivered in that costs $10 is going to cost the same that a $300 Timex watch that takes a 6"X6" box to be delivered in. The cost of shipping is the same regardless of the cost of the item. It's the size & weight you are paying to ship, not the value of the item (unless you insure it).

Hey Dave, another great video! I had a quick question for you. Would you do a video on some of your favorite/most often used pocket knives and pocket tools? I know that you've talk about some in the past, but I just thinking more of an update video. Also, why you chose those specific tools. Thanks for such great content!

Preorder placed! Well done Dave you get my money for offering a preorder on video and not yanking my chain by doing a freaking video with no offer of the axe. Thank you.

Obviously troll. I was remarking on the design. Canterbury agrees. Said so in the video. No need to be mean.
