Paul Whiteman might not have been a "True Jazz Musician" or a "King", but he Saw where the Music could go and was a "Trail Blazer" and deserves a little more respect. He hired the best musicians that he could under the codes of the time. And Paul Whiteman was the first to recognize Jazz as an American Artform and actually take action on that belief..
