In the third round, COLONIAL is the best, and I don't think there are any sevens. The next best thing I could find was OILCAN. In the fourth round, EMANATES was also there for eight, and another seven was the Sanskrit greeting NAMASTE. In the numbers round, I saw Jan's method, but my first solution was the equivalent: 100 + 9 = 109 109 x 3 = 327 327 + 4 = 331 And if you want to use all the numbers, you can do this: 4 x 2 = 8 100 + 8 = 108 108 x 3 = 324 9 - 2 = 7 324 + 7 = 331 In the sixth round, I was pleased to get MUTINEERS. Some of the eights were EMERITUS, RETINUES, and TERMINUS.

Slightly shorter option on the first numbers game. (100+9)*3+4

for the numbers game I got 332 100 x 3 = 300 300 + (9 x 4 - 2 x 2) = 332

100 + 9 + 2 = 111 x 3 = 333 - 2 = 331
