I used to play this game a lot when I was in high school (around 2002). Twenty years have passed in the blink of an eye, and I really miss playing games with my friends.
It feel weird that old gamers are now almost 50 years old Back in the late 1990s early 2000s. Video games were a exclusive culture of young people You didnt see old people into it Now its different By 2040. You will see 70 years old playing video games 😂
well yes for 70 years old poople you are right but you are so young for that you think is weird but real to tell you is not weird bc just how to you are small kid and have fun with the games we before long time just like you when we was kids was the same thing for that we are the same people just we are now super big im 30 years is the same thing i still play a lot games for that trust me when you become big you will be the same you will be just you and maybe you will paly or maybe not but still you will feel like your old self when you was small kid playing games for that i doest matter he is big the games first are for everyone and second thing is when you beocme big not have chance to you forget your good and amazing time what you have it with friends playhing this online games in internet cafes or just in your old pc with friends is just not passable to dont remember your old days for that he is right was something amazing thing to play this game before and for that is super hard to forget her when you become big after like 15 or 20 years you will see for what me and him talking you will start understand us it was gold time and super amazing to play this on internet cafes or on your own pc with friends was big thing back in the day @@mathewvanostin7118
Too bad Lan Houses are inexistent nowadays, you could find some in every neighborhood until 2012, by 2014 it became extinct and is really impossible to find a single one here in Brazil.
I remember i ask my dad "Dad, i want a game about shooting" and my dad installing this game on his laptop, he got CS 1.6 from his friend. Huge thank you for my dad friend and my dad:))
Drinking Surge, and running home from school to play this game. The good ol days. I miss being a kid. Times have changed and it's not the same anymore.
Broooo the memories...I was talking with a friend and we randomly reminisced about way back when we used to play and how we used to love this map. Must've had hundreds of thousands of games on this map, fun times and great memories.
My childhood nostalgia... still remember going to the cybercafe just to play this game after school... what a memory... i miss my childhood... that was my best time 😢😢
Damn cs 1.6 this is my blessing childhood.))) I remember this map its "assaut", and i like "estate", "office" and all versions "de dust" . But my favorite was short maps like "poolday", "the snow" and "orange".
true it was super amazing time when we play it this in the old kids days :D it was the best thing super fun thing was and yes this is the maps assaut was good map i like her but my best was de dust2 :D
Being a kid in the 2000s was a better experience that I could enjoy in the best era of gaming. Even back then I lived without internet but the sources games were on my parents old computer and gave me many hours of fun like counter strike playing with friends or without them.
I have never been a big fan of this game but I always loved head shots positioning in the roof tops😄 anyway, it was nice times for who were teenagers around 2000-2005😎
I vividly remember the graphical buy-menue being intruduced, and at first feeling like such a slow.down. Damn I'm old. But even more damn did we have fun back then with this! There was a LAN party in my town with ~300 participants, and that weekend a new update of CS dropped (the HL addon type). There was one single speed (64kb/s) ISDN connection for the whole venue, and only the main office PC could use it. All other people were completely offline. (As in actually having no internet, not even through phones - those would only be a common thing a decade later here at best.) As soon as the organizers had it, mostly non-working hastily burned CDs made their rounds through the rows, taking at least 4h to get most people up to speed, ultimately eating almost a whole evening out of a 2.5 day lasting thing. (Keep in mind that CD burners cost a fortune back then, and there were probably 3 or 4 of them total at the place. Burning was also a 2x to 4x at best affair.) Ahhh nostalgia.
My fingers are still locked in memory and I haven’t played since source or Warcraft 1.6 (with hooks) to buy m4, de, smoke and just play office or de_rats for 12 hours straight
@@davidrd85 It was an experience of its own really. Most of these parties were ultimately about having fun with the people, less about gaming in itself. And I really do think they were better for this, although none of us would have thought this way back then =)
I remember very clearly the feeling of not wanting to do anything except playing this game for hours. The vibe, the rythme. The song that plays in _italy... The arabic music on de_dust... The feeling of planting a bomb. Over and over.
I've watched a player by coincidence playing it, and he was playing amazingly. That brought memories... So obviously, I had to watch a whole match to make me feel warm. To be honest, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to play this game without my brothers. They used to play it a lot next to Red Alert and Mortal Kombat in 2007 or something.
This map was one of the gaming experiences that showed me the advantage you had when using headphones with a good sound card. I remember blasting people climbing in the vents and them screaming there is NO way I could have known without using noclip or cheating....
Used to play this in boarding school. It was forbidden, but after the housemasters slept, we'd throw lan cables out the window and play with friends in the next dorm lol
The best game ever created and one of my fav games back then. ❤ My PC specs were: Pentium4 PC, Celleron CPU with 2.4 Ghz, 128 MB of RAM, 50 Gb of SATA disc memory, integrated Radeon GPU with 64 Mb and some Realtek sound card also integrated. I know these specs sounds silly, but back then my PC was the most expensive and the strongest in my hood in which all of my childhood friends had Pentium2 and a one or two of them had Pentium3 PC's. In today's time, my childhood PC would cost around 5k €/$, so back then it was a pure fortune. My parents were saving money a few years to buy me that PC. My fav games were CS, HL, NFSU1/2, Starcraft and Warcraft3/DotA Allstars. I also played UT2004, Yuri & Red Alert 2, Age of Mithology, Sven Co-Op, AvP1, AvP2 and some other popular games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Max Payne, Hitman, Dungeon Keeper and so on. But guess what? I was a pro in CS and DotA, and I was the best in my town, just too good to that point that I used to go on tournaments in various cybercafes around town. The best reward I won was some optical gaming mouse without cable, and back then it was a new and very expensive technology which just started coming on the EU market. But I enjoyed the most while playing CS online with my WX team against Germans, British, French, Spanish, Greeks, Sweedish and others. We were so good players and we always won without using cheats. My fav maps to this day are Inferno, Dust 1 & 2, Train, Aztec, Militia, Assault, Italy etc.
Wow, I totally forgot about the screens at 9:33 in the Terrorist base upstairs. If I'm not mistaken, you could watch outside cams on them and see where the CTs go. Man, such good time playing this game as a kid/teenager. I was so happy when I got to play this game with no Internet lag back then, rofl. Life was simple :).
Factory board lay out is the best! We would set up hubs with friends and play ten plus hours back in 02-03! keep us out of trouble! lol, miss those days can never get back.
