Omg seeing him tear 😭 up made me tear up and after seeing the grill being given to Kevin really broke me. But I really wanted to say was Count is a true American who has a super heart towards human beings!!! You're an epic dude Counting cars 🚘 Much love and respect to you, your staff and families. God bless you all, also at the History Channel thank you for your doing.such a wonderful job on the making of the video.
Danny really does seem like a good dude. Even when he's on Pawn Stars or American Restoration or popping up somewhere else, he just has this aura about him of a big ole softie.
This is EXACTLY why I have always been a big fan of Danny and Count's Kustoms...because this man has a big heart and he genuinely LOVES to give back and show tribute to people's memories. This is just another reminder of why Danny is so loved in the car community. He didn't have to find this man, he didn't have to do ANYTHING to show honor to this man's father, but the fact that he did and presented this man with such an awesome memorable gift is what makes Danny such a great guy. I'm proud to be a car guy myself because of guys like Danny...honestly.
@Z thanks for asking. As a kid I remember him having 2 different corvettes and barracuda by Plymouth for awhile. He also drove a nova. Those cars stand out in my memory. I’m sure he had others it’s been too many years ago to remember all of them. sorry. He died in 2004 many years after leaving the car business. 👍
My dad taught me everything. Even how to walk. He’s still around and I’m now a truck mechanic because of how much he’s taught me. Very blessed that I have supportive parents because I don’t where I would be today without them. Father’s day and mother’s day is every day.
I'm about to turn 38 in less than a week and I never understood my dad until I became a father myself. He is going to be 72 this year and I lost my only grandfather (my dad's dad) when I was 13 and I was the first to find him passed, and I still carry that around to this day, but I know that when my dad goes I'm really going to be inconsolable. I've always been a mommy's boy, so I don't know how I'm going to deal with her loss.
One of the most beautiful cars I ve ever seen . Elegant . I ve been a car guy for 40 years and I was lucky enough to have had a job that allowed me to drive many many exotic multimillion dollar cars from zonda to gt40 etc.. . There is just something about the lines of this car that make it exotic and elegant at the same time .
This episode made me once again wish I had a father .Respects bro the Count for reaching out the the original Owners son and sharing this reveal with him .
Danny is one class act. Just bringing the original owner's son to see it's reveal to the world is cool. Then to go a step further and redo the grill that he and his dad fabricated for a keepsake and memorial to that shows integrity. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone was like this? God bless Danny and the crew at Counting Cars.
Man that brought tears to my eyes!!! Always liked those guys and I think extremely awesome for them to think about how someone would feel having that much history with that car as to save a piece of that car him and his father built!! Those are some stand up guy's and that is by far one f the sickest cars I've ever seen.... everything was perfect.... especially the choice of rims with that hood imo really set it off big time!!! Love this show. 🇺🇸👊😎🇺🇸
How can you not love the Count??? Such an understanding of love for autos and what they mean to people. I think of my ol Man every time I watch the show thanks Count.. Rockie Earl RIP...
Why are my eyes sweating. I’m not crying, you’re crying. I wish we could all pitch in to help him buy that car. His dad was the best dad anyone could ever wish for, you can tell.
As nice of a professionally good job as Danny does each & every time ; the real business is of connecting with the people in his life. Rough looking old school rocking roller with an amazing wonderful heart. I’m privileged to have witnessed this!!
That car must be wickedly fast. Class act, gifting the guy the grill. We all hold certain events in our lives and objects dear to our hearts, and when a father and son bond building a car, playing a sports, etc.., those memories are priceless. My dad played minor league baseball, never made it to the major leagues, but we spent countless hours playing together and him coaching my teams, those were really cool times that we got to spend together. I still have his old baseball glove. I cherish it and memories that we shared. I did not endeavor to play baseball professionally, perhaps I should have, but I was a sprinter, gained a scholarship for such and eventually ran professionally, and it was the lesions my dad taught me about hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family that helped me through difficult moments in life.
I love you Danny! I just love you❤️ I've been watching this show sitting here in India. I'm 22 yrs old and I've been a fan since I first say it when I was 14. Hope someday I meet you and we work on a car together ❤️
I was literally just sitting here watching this going god I hope they are that grill aside and by god two minutes later they had that fella go walk off and grab boy got me right by the heart strings love the count, hea always gets me all emotional watching his show the man has a huge heart and I love it
Fiberglass was invented right here in northern Indiana. A retired military man, I don't recall his name, came up with the idea. California got BIG DADDY ROTH, And Indiana got factories. We have a lot of RV factories and bathtub factories around here.
Imagine how much more special it would be to see it before they changed it. Still nice though. Then he could see and touch all the parts him and his dad worked on
They did a fairly good job on this restoration/modification of this Kellison. What's wrong is the hood scoop. Due to the design of the opening it will not flow air very well. The face of the scoop is too restrictive. the opening needs to be larger by changing the by reducing the size of the edges of the scoop. They could probably almost double the intake area. A minor dislike is the size of the side vents. They need to be a little taller, the length is ok.
The Americans love customising their vehicles and they do it brilliantly but honestly, I thought the car looked light years better in its original condition. Just a few buckets of water, some decent polish and man, what a car.
Man, what great guys, that is making me a bit teary eyed... The son of the creator just got the best memento of his fathers car. The actual build was tastefully updated too, nothing too crazy, and loved the vents on the sides!
