This guy is a poet and sings with so much emotion yet it seems effortless. I adore Counting Crows and you haven’t really heard them until you hear them live.
It makes me wonder. If they never play a song the same way twice, it must take some skill not to resist playing it the same way the second time around. Each musician adapting their own part, plus remembering new cues of the other band members so they can all stay in sync.
one of the great songs and sounds of my 20's thanks guys just good ole plain simple good music and another 80's early 90's band dont really appreciate until see live cd's dont do them justice
Adam you have star quality - very few artists have it. I have come late to the Crows here in the UK, but August is up there with the very best in music albums - Fantastic.
'Thank You' for this 'Brilliant' and 'Beautiful' 'Music' 'Lyrics' '4' 'Am' 'Happy' in 'LOVE' with 'You' and I will 'My' 'Adam' come out and take You home' and 'Yes' 'Yes' 'I do think of You' and 'Am wanting to throw My Arms around your neck' and 'give You' a 'Big' 'Kiss' 'Just As am Looking at You' 'I LOVE' 'you' 'Darling' and 'Queen' XXXX
Would you put that song on any album you put out? People love the songs that you put out, why rewrite them during your concerts? I am not saying give up spontaneity, but man don't give them an entirely new song with the same lyrics.
If you want the exact same song over and over, listen to the album. Counting Crows has such a strong following and loyal fans and have been playing for so long because each live performance is unique and fresh and amazing.
