Excellent in depth interview. A pleasure to listen to. Adam is one of my favorite all time singers. No one has a voice like him with all his unique inflections. He's a rarity. Always loved the entire band and of course the songwriting. I'm recommending this interview to all my friends.

I forgot about Counting Crows and Big Yellow Taxi with Vanessa Carlton until a few years ago. I still love it! The song brings back memories of growing up in the 90’s and 2000’s. Although, those few lines really hit home now with all this climate change stuff. “You don’t know what you got until it’s gone. We had paradise until they tore it down to put up a parking lot!”

Back I our day myself and my musician friends were lucky to have 4-8 tracks. Adam had 12 track recording, someone a big baller 😂 love ya Adam

A word of advice to Adam - don't see your hair. It looks bad. Just let your hair be grey. Looks so much better. When you get older and dye it, it just looks like an old person with hair color that doesn't match their skin tone at all.

And the fact that you get different versions of counting crows songs its like when Madonna reinvented her songs each tour... it's amazing!!

I disagree this time with Adam.. if a fan pays a ticket to attend a show yes! They want to hear the original songs that they grew up listening. “Mr jones” is an iconic song that should be performed the way it was recorded.. and Adam just because you are tired of paying a song you can not simply leave it out on set. Your fans are waiting to hear those songs.. grow up

I gotta disagree with you on this one. One of the best things about going to a Counting Crows show is hearing the different versions of songs that they are going to do. Also I know that the set list is something that they have chosen for a reason and I love that as part of the art.
