@@lienlien9746 Technically they want it to be called "Türkiye" in official communication, it says so on an UN website. But that only applies to official communication, used for diplomatic relations for example, not for the usage in everyday life of the public. Here, the word "Turkey" is still correct, as it is the country's name developed by the English language.
@shrouddreamer What are you talking about? They *literally* wanted to change their name and not be callled Turkey, what are you trying to claim? Saying Turkey is techincally wrong it's just that many politicans don't want to call that "Turkiye" as if it sounds clingy and sounds so Turkish to them. (Turkey is Turkiye in Turkish.)
