India is also the only country where lions and tigers are both found, however they do not share the same habitats (in ancient times both lions and tigers were found from the Balkans to some parts of the Middle East to India, but then humanity happened). Our lion population has also gone up and are in need of relocation to other parts of the country. Project Tiger has really been successful.
India also holds the Guinness Book record of most pics captured of tigers in the wild. And the number is around 100 million. From these photographs 83% of the total tiger population were identified using stripe-pattern-recognition software. The software helps to match a new image of a tiger already in the database, based on the pattern of stripes. Tiger conservation was started in 1973 with "project tiger".
@@mememanager7336 why? gotta love how the people of the internet are more blatantly discriminatory towards other countries in times of tranquility lmao, kindly get a life plz ❤️
*WHY INDIA HAS SO MANY TIGERS?* India is like the cool uncle of tigers, providing a cozy home for over 70% of the world's wild tigers. This is quite a comeback, considering tigers were almost wiped out in India. Several factors have helped India ace the tiger conservation game. One biggie is the creation of tiger reserves, safe havens where tigers can chill and multiply without worrying about poachers or losing their homes. India also has a crack anti-poaching squad, a dedicated team of forest guards and other folks who work hard to protect tigers from illegal hunters. Plus, India has implemented a bunch of other cool conservation measures, like raising awareness about the importance of tigers and working with local communities to reduce conflicts between people and tigers. *Tiger conservation is a top priority for the Indian government, and it shows in their policies and funding. India has developed and implemented some effective conservation strategies, like setting up tiger reserves and sending out anti-poaching units. They've also worked to involve local communities in tiger conservation efforts, which has helped reduce conflicts and build support for conservation. And India has invested in scientific research on tigers, which has made conservation efforts even better*
I live in tier 5 town in Tamilnadu near forests, the government has made it a tiger reserve and when we were kids, our school used to partner up with WWF and arranged a trek to see the natural habitat of a wild animal, we didn't see any tigers tho. They've made various efforts and done activities to increase awareness of saving tigers and by the looks of it, it clearly paid off. I'm happy to be a part of the movement.
@@velocity_bayz3626 visit any place near coimbatore district or Theni district if you love mountains and Western ghats. Or visit madurai, trichy or thanjavur if you love to explore the culture. There are a lot of unique things to see in every district of tamilnadu.
I remember a commercial used to run on Tv in 2011 where they used to show only 1411 tigers were remaining in the country. That ad definitely had an effect on a lot of young indians as many of my friends still remember that ad and the accurate number of figure it showed. Glad we are doing good.
Fact: there are still more tigers in the US in cages than in the wild. With the Big Cat Public Safety Act or BCPSA passing in December last year this should hopefully decrease but it’s still sad to think about
Hopefully we can create more success stories than losses. It can be done, the American alligator was close to extinction before recovery was created and by 1987, they were no longer a concern. To today where they are millions and if you live down South, they are a normal part of life. Hope more species can have those kind of success stories. Tigers included.
You know in kaziranga national park in India has the one horned rhinoceros and tigers, the guards of this park instead of capturing poachers shoot them at sight, since 2021 there has been no rhino killed by poachers.
Why did tigers decreased in Bangladesh 😰 Edit:I did a few research and found out ever since 2012 after tiger population is increasing in Bangladesh it has been growing steadily after 2015
Fool tiger are not just in east. Above 200 tigers are living in south forest between kerala and karnataka. And lot of tigers living central indisn forest. Loons only lives in west but tigers are everywhere in india...
India have both lions and tiger back in 1600s they used to share same habitat in few places but when british officials started hunting for fun population of both species declined drastically. Only 34 lions were left in india too in gir gujarat. There indian king banned there hunting from that to now on lion population is 400+ in gir gujarat. India managed to conserve its lion, tiger, leapords but cheetas went extinct in 1970s. recently prime minister of india reintroduced cheetas in india. They are african cheetas. Cheetah too is a sanskrit word that means spots(like cheetah have)
Panther is not a distinct species, it's a term for both black leopards and jaguars. And cheetahs were not introduced in the wild yet. They were planning to
That too in dannger. russia is selling there tigers to arabs who wants tiger as pets. i know thats not the government but government isnt doing anything against poachers
Video Idea: Countries scaled by annual elecricity use Countries scaled by windmills/islands Countries scaled by counties/states etc... Countries scaled by amount of radicals/conservativs Countries scaled by political stability.
@@witherOuO Because of the war in Ukraine, PWA can’t show the tiger population in Russia? This is the dumbest logic I've ever heard. wildlife has nothing to do with politics. Animals have their own boundaries and their own "laws"
Finnaly watching Bangladesh in a decent role😊 Thanks for putting our country😊💚❤💚 And yes putting Bangladesh in the thumbnai will also help you gain more views😉🤫
Love to see this cast of characters as these are interesting countries not shown enough, and I really like the background. Pretty blackpilling lines though...
What happened to Russia ? No numbers on Siberian Tigers? Tiger population is increasing fast in India, I get to see them more often during jungle safaris than before
Should have added Russia and China too since they both have some population of Amur tigers (largest tigers) especially Russia, and China also has South China tiger, typically lives in captivity now though since there haven't been reports of them being seen in the wild for quite some time now.
2nd largest state in India after Madhya Pradesh is Karnataka which is just over 560 around and we have around 557 , Save Tiger (love from Karnataka,Mysuru)❤🥰
I'm from indo but i really glad and thankful to Indian ppl to protect all animal endangered, even when one of their family got killed by tiger they not angry and seek revenge, that what i love from Indian people XD
This is all great, but it’s a pity that everyone forgets about the Amur, aka Siberian, tiger. But they are the largest and northern tigers that have survived to this day.
Why nobody mentioned of Nepal🇳🇵 in this list of countries ? 🇳🇵 Fun fact : Nepal was the first county to double the population of tigers before the others . 🇳🇵 It's shameful that nobody noticed this fact and ignored Nepal !
@@ashishdahal835 What Nepal's progress? 😂 Most Indians honestly don't even think about Nepal. If we have to worry about other countries, Pakistan, China, the US, the UK, the UAE is who we worry about. Nepal is not in the list.
To a degree, while Florida... and any US state has no native wild tiger population, it should stand that there are MORE tigers in private ownership across the US than in ANY country where they are wild... And where was Russia in all of this? The Siberian/Amur Tiger is still around.
I feel like this could help conservation efforts if PWA would allow selected (trusted) tiger protection programs to use this video to help raise funds.🤔
I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 1:12. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 2:34 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece , I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life.
