8:30 if I remember correctly after the U.S dropped the first atomic bomb japan didn't surrender so the U.S dropped a second one and then they surrendered.
There is a Japanese tradition, where soldiers fight till they are dead for their country. This made them fight to the end. During talking about sending nukes, they did not think the nukes effect would be that dangerous so they thought they might need to send more. Here France was telling the same thing in his point of view. Which is delivered in a wrong way.
@@抹茶たると If I am correct the area the US was going to drop was a bit away as the day was cloudy so there was a bit less change of dropping in the original place. But again I might be wrong.
@user-qp2ys7ex3f It was the least destructive route. The US did more damage with the firebombing than it had with the nukes. The nukes was also the more favorable route than the US invading the mainland (which would result in more deaths on both sides). I am not trying to justify the use, because it was pretty terrible.
