THANK YOU ALL FOR WATCHING AND SHARING MY VIDEOS. IT MEANS A LOT... This is #CoupeZilla in 2011 before it was even on the road.This was before the FLAME JOB and open "ZOOMIES". ...'31 Ford 5-window Coupe all steel, tube chassis, Corvette 4-link, Big Block Chevy built for the Awesome 8.71 blower. 6' dropped axle with Coil Overs front and rear. 30x19 dual-pass aluminum radiator in rear. Coupe is still a work in progress. Don't have the grille brackets made yet, that is why NO grille. Still have to wire it. It can be driven right now. Since this vid it has been tagged "C-ZILLA" (COUPEZILLA) and is on the Street. Thanks....."LETS LIGHT THIS CANDLE"!

Very comfortable. Plenty of leg and head room. And I made sure the gas and brake pedals were comfortable and very easy to reach. It has a tilt wheel and that even helps more with the comfort of driving. The brakes are 4-wheel disc and they will throw you through the windshield! It is still a "work in progress". Just got it on the road after about 3 yrs. of construction from "scratch". It is a lot of hard work to do everything on one from the ground up. Thanks for the comment. Coupezilla

Nice job! That thing has got to be a blast to drive. Leave the mufflers off. I run an 8-71 blown '30 with open zoomies. 4 years and no noise tickets yet....

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I would like to try a set of zoomies on it later. I really gutted the extensions before I put them on and it is very loud. I'm sure I will get some complaints from the "Purists" and the "matching # Freaks" at the cruisins. LOL

@impossible ... In this vid "Coupezilla" has open headers, (no mufflers). The last vid I posted has the real sound it will have with the pipes and mufflers installed. Thanks for the comment.

No, we did not. When I bought the body it had already been chopped about 2 1/2 inches. To me, if you are going to go to the trouble to chop something for God's sake at least chop it so that you can notice it! LOL. So my friend and I chopped it again and the total is about 6 to 6 1/4 inches. I guess we were lucky on the radius of the quarter window. I just love a severely chopped coupe. There is a trick to getting the 1/4 window radius right... just research it a lot or google it. Thanks

The radiator is behind the seats in the trunk. It is a aluminum dual-pass..31 x 19. Seems to cool just fine so far. Thanks for the comment.

2 questions. One, how did you build the cooling system, i get that the rad is on the back, but did you need to use a special water pump or a second one part way down? Second, why'd you with a bigblock Chev instead of a big Ford like a 460 or a 521? I'm not criticising, just curious. Looks and sounds killer man.

WOW! What a great comment! I guess I have to take credit for the tune. It has two awesome Holleys on it that I had on a tunnel ram on my Eagle and they seemed to really be happy on the blower motor. It has a .748 Comp cam on a 110 lobe center, Isky "Red" roller lifters, and Crane Rockers. On the 830 Holleys I run NO power valves. I block them all off and go up on the jets a few steps. Thanks

It is not finished yet and it will be awhile before it goes to the strip. I am pretty sure it will be in the low 9's or high 8's. It feels very NASTY. I have built a lot of Rods and this is the Wildest Beast I have ever driven!!!!!!!!!!!! Coupezilla

I don't have a final figure, but it is not as much as you might think... My good friends and I did most of the work. My good friend and I chopped it 6 inches in one day and it did not cost me a dime!!!! Thanks for the comment.

It is a Frankland Quick Change. It use to be used in Nascar and round track racing. It is very strong. The tires are 35x22.5x16. Thanks

That's a pretty nasty machine you've got there...Nice tough engine...So what's the boost with that big pulley.?6-7psi.?..Is it on alky or E85.?..Run some of that through it with a small pulley...I recon that would be scary...Good stuff.

To whom ever put the tune on this beast is a true artist. To make a 1000+ horse power idle as smooth as this one does is just amazing. YES maybe the cam lift/duration is mild and the such but that sound is pure music. take a bow sir you should be real proud of yourself.

It has a 31 x 19 x 4 inch dual pass aluminum rad. behind the seats in the trunk area. I wanted everything about "Coupezilla" to be "un-belly-button". LOL! You would be better off with the mechanical secondarys like me and block off the power valve and go up a few steps in the jets and bingo. That is what I did and it is perfect. My carbs were 750s and they had the proform centerbodies installed and it made them about 830-850. I never have to adjust them. Those vaccume carbs are causing the problem. Thanks, "Coupezilla"

My cam is a Comp Cam. specs...gross lift-.748int. .748ex.duration @tappet lift-313...duration intake -276 @ .050 exhaust same... lobe separation 110.00 and 108.0 intake center line...part # 11-000-9 CB special roller...Grind#:CB 4079B / 4079B R 110.0. Thanks FEASTJAPAN. Yes it is going to happen very soon. It will be the "BURNOUT FROM HELL"! You just have to be careful where you do it because "they" will lock you up in a heart beat. My driveway is like coarse sand paper or I would sit there and burn it to the grouns. LOL

Well, what really helps is that there is no flooring in the trunk area and the trunk lid is full of "louvers" for the hot air to escape. Then also I have three electric fans pulling the air through the rad. Thanks again for the intelligent comments.
