Looks like a little slice of heaven, with Mia the cat as a delightful guardian. Thanks for this enjoyable video, Jenna. I will definitely view it multiple times.
This has been done so beautifully.I can understand why they fell in love with this .I love how they decorated it and did changes but were empathic to the original boat. What an amazing place to live 🥰
This is the second houseboat tour I've seen. Being on the water reminds me of being on vacation. What a satisfying feeling to have a home feel like you're on a permanent vacation. Coffee in bed overlooking the water...sigh. The full size top deck is a great space. Better than having a front yard. The decor is warm and stylish. Bringing in some green color to add to the nautical theme is a nice touch - a land and water vibe. You have it all.
Beautiful home! Love the curved windows in the main bedroom, what a view it provides. Mia is adorable. Love the light in the table. I thought that was original at first thinking how cool to have light like that. Nicely done!
What an absolutely beautiful home you have created!!! And Mia is adorable!!! Enjoy every moment of every day ~ sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you.
Just beautiful design and decor! I love that this lovely couple payed homage to the boat builder by keeping some of the images. The kitchen and brass accents are a dream. Oh, and those green lamps... I love them :)
What an awesome floating home! Amazing use of space and so many neat touches. I'm one of those people you see scooting along in a boat passing your beautiful home. During the summer on most weekends I make my way from Ballard, where my boat is stored, onto Andrew's Bay on Lake Washington. This coming weekend I'll be sure to honk and wave to the two of you and Mia the cat!
I never understood why anyone would live on a barge set-up. The beauty of living on a boat part time, or full time.... is the ability to wake up next to a beach void of civilization.
In my neck of the woods! Note moorage in Seattle is very expensive - and that would be a high end houseboat/barge. It is beautiful and a nice layout. Love Mia - she is so cute. Blessings for a wonderful life on the water.
Love your floating home. Beautifully appointed with wood and brass, plus lots of windows for viewing the University Bridge, I-5 Bridge, and boat traffic. I used to live in Wallingford and my apartment looked out on Lake Union, so I know how the background noise of Aurora and I-5 bridges is easy to tune out. It must be great to view the Christmas-lit boats as they float by. Thanks for sharing. Jenny
That houseboat is for sale on zillow right now for $300,000. I considered getting it, because that's actually cheap for Queen Anne (it's on the ship canal in N. Queen Anne, not S. lake union), but with 7.3% interest + taxes/insurance/HOA costs, buying it would like $3,000 a month (according to bank note) $3,000 a month for 400 square feet.....
That is for me the best of both worlds. Living on a boat in calm waters surrounded by other boaters and nature, then to top it off visuals of the city and the industrial feel of the draw bridge and other traffic. What a great place and way to live.
Jenna, this is such a great video. You filmed every detail so nicely leaving nothing to my non existence imagination lol. Great job and beautiful home!!! Thanks so much. God bless you 🤗
I love it. I always dreamed of living on a houseboat! I would have to have it somewhere quieter though. Really nice design - plus Mia the cat approves!
Oh wow that's a stunning home so roomy especially the kitchen...Mia love's the camera lol and she definitely love's her people...thankyou for sharing Jenna xo 💜
To truly appreciate this home I think you need to love the water and mobile living. In my opinion they did an absolutely amazing job redesigning and decorating the home. Two thumbs 👍 👍
It is a very well designed and built houseboat. I love how they are letting the boat talk and not trying to cover up the holes while also trying not to create new ones. I wonder how long it takes and where they move to when the boat has to be removed and the hull repainted every few years ?
Really awesome spot - I love it. The lifestyle, the layout, and the ambience... just awesome. A lifestyle that I could definitely relate to in less that a heartbeat... 👍🙂❤
But, it would not be on the water. Perhaps this is the dream, and a condo is not. If I had the choice, I would take the boat over a condo, and I get seasick! But I can take meds for that!
I love this home and the light makes it so cozy and comfortable. The deck is just so amazing and the thought being on the water where you can fish anytime is just too much. Great home guys thanks for sharing.
I love it & it's gorgeous, i would paint the "sun yellow & a touch of orange to 1 side mixed in & yellow for the sunburts & light blue on the ceiling above the sun burts (only there)" if done correctly could be a beautiful feature for your living room! Your kitten is adorable & it's so obvious she loves it there, so close to nature & all the animals she can watch & interact with! Just beautiful & fabulous, may you spend many blissful years there👏👍🩷
Looks very charming and I like the nautical style of the design elements inside. Feels like a home and I bet you'll have tons of great memories in there. I was wondering what the budget and overall costs were.
Sleepless in Seattle. Brings back great memories of a wonderful Movie. Perfect home for you Family of Three. You mentioned a mortgage. That would be an interesting side story when you approached a possible lender. ENJOY this moment in your lives.
I just love this couole, and their beautiful Bengal Mia. She is a really interactive cat. Andante is a really beautiful, and classy home! Thank you for this video. Watched some commercials to earn you a few cents. 😊
Wow……….wow………….wow…….! Just love it! They lucked on on this simply charming home ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤how do you dump your tanks and refill freshwater! It is stunning! You are young, enjoy this time before you start a family!
It's all beautiful and nicely done and that ceiling is extraordinary. I do wonder where the rooftop accessories store when Seattle's 39.34 inches of yearly rain falls.
I love what they've done with the boat's decor. It's right in line with my aesthetic. They seem like such a nice couple. I would be over the moon if one of my 5 nephews brought home a girl like that. Lol
My Grandfather built one with floating log base in the early 30's on Lake Union, Seattle. Mother was raised on it and she was born with C.P. treated as polio...so 6 months in casts, then braces. She had her own little row boat for exercise. Movie in 50's euth Debbie Reynolds about living in houseboat on the Mississippi. Many people world wide raise families on boats and have for centuries.
Love it! Decorated perfectly and beautifully! What a find that was! Enjoy your time on her! (And don’t you love the Classic fridge? I have the same in my tiny house!)
