As long as there is demand, there will be supply. Better solution would be to focus on the drug addiction problem. Unfortunately, some politicians view drug addicts as victims, going out to provide them with all sorts of help to continue with the addiction (proof: San Francisco) instead of combating the addiction.
If people weren't buying and using them then there wouldn't be any drugs coming over. You build a wall and they will find another way to bring them in. When there is a demand for something someone is going to supply.

When I lived near Hereford Az., I had problems with the illegals turning on water at my stock tanks and leaving it on all night wasting hundreds of gallons. I changed them out to a removable handle. They broke the water lines and punched holes in my stock tanks. Then they started coming up to the house for water. And breaking those faucets.. (and they are armed) That doesn't count having to do fence repair, twice a day, just to keep the stock out of the road.. Border Patrol and Sheriff do what they can, but ICE just releases them..

US Army should always be practicing anti infiltration tactics and these days especially upping its surveillance-with-drones game. Wouldn't the border areas be the logical place? Why not buy and or lease as much near border land as possible for Army training related to anti infiltration? I suspect many near border land owners would be happy to cooperate.

I am touched by this elderly gentleman. He has cameras and is well aware of what goes on in his literal backyard, and still keeps water fountains out there to prevent them from dying. I’m not necessarily for a border wall across the whole south, but US should absolutely be building the border wall when it’s in peoples residence.
That’s a real man and a real woman right there. They want the border closed, they differentiate between those coming to find work and the cartels, and have the simple human compassion to give water in the desert, even to those same criminals. Very good people.
