Minneapolis was once one of the best cities in the US. Then, a couple of specific demographics invaded the place and now it's unfixable.

The people of the city of Minneapolis got exactly what they voted for. What annoys me is the people that voted for the garbage that's happening now will not have learned their lesson. They'll move out further to places where people don't vote like that and things are clean, nice and safe. Then, after they move, they'll think they can vote for the same types of people again and just bring this crap further and further out. People should stay where they're at and clean up the mess they made.

My garage was broken into in January. My neighbor heard the noise and thought his garage was being robbed. When he came out to investigate two (of the 3) thieves physically attacked him. His wife came out with her pistol to protect her husband, at least 3 shots were fired. 911 had a couple calls because of the noise/shots. The police NEVER arrived. He ended up at the ER with a concussion, waiting hours to be seen. My insurance would not cover my loss because there was no police report #. Even though there was a record of 911calls the police claimed they were never notified. I have told several people to NOT move to MPLS. It is "progressive" HELL on earth. The city council......may the pox be on them not with them. FYI......I stopped voting for the "DFL" (democrat) candidates in 1990. There are so MANY Damnicrats here it is tyranny of the majority. I'm one of the 37 Republican votes in my precinct.

Reporter should have asked how much their property taxes are. My mother-in-law lives less than a mile from there in a small, very basic home, and pays well over $4k per year. Despite that, the city and school district pleads poverty.

I was there studying Swedish at the Nordic center. Sweden had just started on their decent. Read up on Sweden and its current state. All part on the WEF plan.

I do remember when MPLS. was a real gem, now it's a sh..hole that no one will go to. My heart breaks for these fine folks who put so much love and care into this gorgeous home. Hoping that their new home brings them much happiness. So glad my folks are dead and not seeing this horror.

What a beautiful house! It is so sad that their precious area has gone to h*** in a handbasket. It is much the same in other areas of the metro. I grew up in North Minneapolis; went to Patrick Henry High. That neighborhood is bad news now. I hope these two gentlemen can sell their house. No one wants to feel unsafe day after day in and near their home.

Walz, Ellison, Frey, and Moriarty are most responsible. Minnesotans will re-elect them in a heartbeat.

A friend of mine spent about 20 years in Minneapolis, he left there about 8 years ago. He said where he lived the area go really bad in a short time. He said one night his next door neighbor shot some thug breaking into his house. He even told me one afternoon while at work some crackhead went into the store where he work and pulled a gun on him and his co-workers. That's when he left and went to Fort Lauderdale where I met him, he just left South Florida a couple of months ago because it's just way too expensive there now.

I wouldn't give you 30$ for that house. Remember.. location,location,location. Public safety is a thing that f the past.

The police need to have a "no mercy" approach to crime. That's the only way we'll return to a livable Twin Cities. My dad had to get off the light rail train a few weeks ago in Saint Paul in the middle of the day because there was smoking, drug use, et cetera on the train.

What a gorgeous historic home they have renovated, and what a damned shame that they have to sell below its value to get the hell out and to safety This is happening all over the country. A friend of mine escaped Baltimore for similar reasons - she was just a few blocks away from where riots occured and businesses were ransacked. I am living in a rural city now in the South, and there are things occuring here that never happened in this area's past. I am not sure where there is to go anymore that offers any degree of saftety or peace of mind, if it isn't the ills of society, then it is the climate.

This is sad, my neighborhood is safe but I'm planning to move to the country because it's coming everywhere.

I live in Minneapolis and this week alone we’ve had two stolen cars dumped at our apartment 2 car break ins and a crack head trying to rob People in our apartments laundry room. Me and my gf are trying to move anywhere reasonable as fast as we can. Democrat policies here are empowering criminals it’s not safe and it feels like its getting alot worse

I grew up in south Minneapolis..their are those less than desirable neighborhoods..and it’s unfortunate that you own in one . Theirs absolutely no doubt that the city should do a better job at policing . I wouldn’t want to be a cop , if you can’t take the upper hand against thugs and lawbreakers without some type of retaliation or penalty or your life .
