He;s definitely not Marcel Marceau - nowhere near that caliber. For the record, I know AGT wants you to think that he's some sort of street performer that's looking for his big break. He's not. Originally he's from New Zealand and has a regular show of his own in Britain. BTW, you can say the same thing about the rest of the "adult" finalists. With the possible exception of Sal they all have established show biz careers. They are not amateurs in any sense of the word. The "kids" are a different matter but both Laura and Sophie are not rank beginners. Laura won Romania's got talent last year and Sophie does perform on a relatively small scale.

Yeah he's got a Tim Burton/Johnny the homicidal maniac aesthetic going on. And its a great contrast to his performance as well as really highlighting his expressions, which are the key element to his humor.

Yep! Tapeface uses the element or surprise ( misconception ) to trick the audience! He looks scary or dark... So you don't expect him to do a silly act!

Huh. I've watched plenty of reaction channels over the years, from the big React channel to solo people doing their thing, and I have to say that I actually enjoy your commentary throughout each video. What I've seen a lot of people do is watch a video and only say a few words here and there, without really reacting to every bit of it. "MISDIRECTION" more like "MISCONCEPTION" as soon as he walked out he captivated the audience and you not knowing who what how to react to him is purely genius on his behalf. He's has you now, you are eagerly anticipating wtf he's going to do next. Everything after that point is unknown and his performance lets you decide the outcome.
