Not exactly. They're one of the founders of 2nd wave metalcore, or metalcore as we know it nowadays. Metalcore has been around since the early 90s. I think as I lay dying started in the early 2000s but it wasn't until 2005 when they really changed the game with "shadows are security" album
You should check out my own grave by them, or through struggle depending if you want to see their more recent or earlier stuff. Anyways great vid, keep it up 👍🏻
