This is the song that got me hooked on Dreamcatcher, it's just so good! By the end of it I was pretty sure Dami was going to be my bias, but then Siyeon came in and pretty much just punched me in the face 😂

It's almost unfair that there's so much talent in this group cause Gahyeon is such an insane rapper but then Dami exists too so she gets overshadowed often. Actually the queen of facial expressions though she's unmatched, absolutely fatal

Never apologize for being unhinged watching Dreamcatcher. After seeing the Dystopia trilogy videos they were like all I could think about for weeks. The BOCA video gives everyone a chance to shine but it's no question for me that this was Gahyeon's era.

Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("A trick behind a mask, a ridiculous freak" from Scream). Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?

this is giving me flashbacks to when i went from "who is dreamcatcher" to "dreamcatcher is my ult now and forever" over the course of like... maybe a week.. love to see it XD this group really does just pull you right in, no mercy whatsoever

The first song I listens to and got me into the rabbit hole. Dami.. that rap “Hold Up. I am a geek. The big paradox” got my attention from the start. It helped to make Dami my first bias.. before Siyeon made herself co-bias in Piri. Siyeon going off at the end. The “Why spend all your precious time with hate” is one of my favorite. The choreography is awesome. Luckily we now have performances with Handong of Scream and Boca.. and many songs from those albums. Pink Hair Gahyeon is as iconic as Purple hair JiU. Scream and Boca are anti- cyber bullying.

10:11 What did she just do with her voice there? Music class! It's called hammer vibrato. Vibrato is the fluttering of the note (oddly scarce in kpop but common in other genres), "hammer" is one type of vocal technique used to cause the fluttering sound, and Siyeon spiced it up by speeding up the vibrato towards the end.

You have to do the Odd Eye Dance Video Dystopian version before the new comeback! It brings the trilogy all together with a great surprise!

Until the first time I heard this song and watched the MV I was only a casual listener to DC's music but BOCA just hit me so hard I spent that whole day watching Dreamcatcher's MVs, guides, vlogs and youtube videos about them lol, I learned their names SO fast it was almost funny. Also I fell instantly in love with Gahyeon and Yoohyeon ;A; SuA killed me too, specially that shot when she's all wet in the tree and staring to the camera...I was SO glad to being this gay lmao anyway, all visuals apart, the sets, the shots and of course, their voices, specially Siyeon's note at the end just made me want to cry as to how beautiful this wole MV was. But what I liked the most was the message of the song because it refers to cyber bullying and how words can hurt people or worst...the line "too many angels dying now" got stuck with me since then cause they were referencing all the people dying from s*icid3, specially in a society like SK. Not many groups have the courage to adress this topics and try to make the world a better place through their music. LOONA and DC are two of my top ever favorite groups just because of those messages. I'm so glad you liked it as much as I did!

11th of October is the comeback date, the title track is called Vision and is a continuation of Maison which is gonna be a trilogy like the Dystopia series the concept pictures are killing me with how good they look.

The tree is 'The Tree of Language', it feed on 'Languages of Love' by people all over the world...but when the world is dominated by 'Languages of Hatred', the tree slowly change colour from green to white and then red...

One of the angels who died was Sua's friend Sulli, an actress and singer who was driven to suicide by internet hate. That's what this song is about, and Dreamcatcher decided to take a stand because that is what good people must do otherwise evil wins. The tree is the Tree of Language which is being corrupted by the hate that pours out of the internet and is eventually killed by it in the future shown in Odd Eye. I can't imagine what it's like to get exposed to Dreamcatcher all at once as you have. Being with them from the beginning and getting the comebacks as they appeared one by one over the past 5 years, I had time to process what they were doing and follow how they were changing. Getting it all at once must be a shock. They are unique and they have introduced a generational change into Kpop, which can never go back to cute girls wearing school uniforms singing cute meaningless pop songs. They were the first to sing about social problems in Korea, but they won't be the last.

I got into k-pop in 2020 so being a newbie I would watch a lot of compilations of different songs. Dami's Boca rap was included in one of these compilations and I searched them up from there and I've been hooked ever since.

yeah dreamcatcher always tease their comebacks with a "mystery code" or sometimes multiple codes. Sometimes it's a cypher and sometimes it's just an image with vague information, like maybe there's a number hidden somewhere on the image which would correlate to a date and the aesthetic of the image kind of gives you the theme of the comeback, it's something I really like that they do :)

Now that you seen the original, you should check out the zombie version for October spooky season. Love your energy, keep it up.

Fun fact about this MV, for the dance sequence in the rain at the hallway..the director originally want to shoot inside the building and use the sprinkler to create the raining effect, but then...it's started to rain heavily outside the building, and the director proceed to shot the scene outside..all the MV crew move outside & have to do it quickly before the rain stopped...so what you see in hallway dance sequence of this MV, they all dancing in rain for real...

Now imagine for a second, this was the first dreamcatcher MV I ever saw... safe to say I was hooked and also an immediate Gahyeon bias cause how could I not be? I honestly think Boca is still one of my favourite DC tts to this day. (I actually saw their Boca Zombie version first and that's how I discovered them and I'm forever grateful for the YT algorithm for that. I defnitely think you two should watch it! So about the tree, the Dystopia series is based on the 3 wise monkeys proverb (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil) which is about not dwelling on evil thoughts. The series started with the album The Tree of Language. This tree appears on all 3 videos and throughout the series it is dying as evil and hate spread. In Odd Eye it's connected to electricity as if it is on life support. Also, comeback on 10/11. In your reaction video here, when you paused just before the five minute mark, there is an empty spot in the choreo. That is obviously a saved spot for when Han Dong would be back. They KNEW she would be back at some point so they purposely left space in the choreo for her so they would not have to change very much at all later. :)

Ah yes, the song that made me a fan and also got me interested into K-Pop as a whole again (it was the Zombie version though ;). I actually worried if this reaction would ever come because you two have so visceral responses and this MV has so many moments trying to give you a heart attack. :D So congratulations, you survived Dami and Gahyeon defining the era, wet SuA, peak Singnie belting, badass JiU and Yoohyeon and them in dresses.
