SOME LORE THEORIES!! Cause we’re crazy (all timestamps are for the time on the Done MV) After rewatching the MV a couple of times our running theory is that the lyrics are referring to aespa’s doppelganger situation. The “liar liar liar” line for example is probably aimed at the doppelgangers. Some reasons why we think she’s talking about aespa, is obviously because of what we already know about aespa’s storyline but also the poster that shows aespa in the MV could be a way of getting the viewer to directly connect this to aespa’s current storyline. Also some of the choreo’s feel very reminiscent of some of aespa’s choreos from previous songs (specifically 0:40 reminds us of Supernova). We think 1:06 - 1:24 is probably new storyline that will continue the lore. Especially the lines “world is frozen” with the images of the emojis which remind us of the hallucination quest. Kind of makes it seem like the real aespa might be trapped somewhere? And they are calling to naevis for help. (1:12 “Buckle up, I hear em calling.”) We also are again getting fire and burning imagery, like in Drama and Supernova when naevis says “Watch out cause you might burn,” at 1:20 when the aespa poster is shown to us. When after that she says “Pain pain undone,” is she referring to helping the potentially trapped aespa? Also this might be a bit of a reach but the car that naevis drives in the MV reminds us a lot of the car in Drama, that crashes into the aespa girls.
also i dont know if its connected somehow to armageddon ''imma get it DONE'' which is the title of the song, since we saw the armageddon poster in the mv and her looking at it kinda smirking
Just my theory, naevis was expelled from Kwangya to flat for saving the seed of evil, she therefore rebelled against the gods of th smcu. After, she died in the last smcu episode (Girls era) after the defeat of black mamba because she again rebelled against the gods by going to kwangya where she was prohibited from entering. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes she is reborn in the real MY world where she appears in welcome to MY world in the MY world album probably associated with the strange phenomena happening. Now the last album is named armaggedon which is biblically the last battle between god and the devil. Godlike beings are seen in armaggedon and they seem like an antagonistic force against aespa. Maybe naevis came to the real MY world looking for refuge and to fight along side aespa against the gods of the smcu. Maybe that is why naevis has this weird feeling to her, she is like the biblical devil who rebelled against god and was therefore expelled from heaven (Kwangya). Only that in the smcu the gods are seen as the main antagonists. However this is just a theory and I'm not really sure how it would fit in with Drama and the doppelganger part of the lore. But it would explain a whole lot. What do you think?
@@arthurguimaraes7786 idk abt the dance, that's why I said most likely, but the voice is def a mix of aespa's voices, so either synthesized or AI generated (thats why it sounds robotic) For the dance it could be actually a person using motion capture suit while dancing or just a deep fake of naevis face on someone else dancing Either way, naevis herself doesn't exist and is actually a bunch of computer programs
before the official debut, they had naevis performing a version of done at the latest aespa tour. on the aespa stage. it was also in the concert livestream for synk parallel line. you can find this on youtube. was pretty epic.
Apparently, naevis is supposed to be an amalgamation of all four Aespa girls in looks and sound, but by this timeline I’d be more like she evolved into that. Also, I do love that for the dancing scenes they used a deepfake with a real girl, but it still looks INSANE
Absolutely love this from a tech perspective. Some people aren't fans of the vocals but it's just Vocaloid reminiscent to me (although some new voicebanks can sound very human). I really wanna see where they'll go with this.
the fact that I saw naevis perform Done live during aeepa's concert in Melbourne...I nearly blacked out from screaming 😩👏 Ahhhh naevis looked so goooddd
naevis’s voice is made by recording Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning’s voice. So it’s a mixed version of all the aespa girls voices, and sm made it sound more robotic with effects, etc.
@@hojichaaddicti think you’re referring to naevis’ talking voice, because naevis’ singing voice is definitely Aespa members’ voices. For example, you can clearly hear Giselle’s voice at the beginning of the song especially during the pre-chorus (liar liar liar no part)
I'm so interested in the tech, especially for the hyper realistic Naevis. I wonder if its like a real body but using the deep fake tech similar to what disney uses for their shows and movies (like in star wars) where they have a older actor looking young. I really hope they do a behind the scenes showing some of this off. I think its definitely a vocaloid type system, but thanks to recent Ai generation buzzwords, people are getting confused assuming this is completely ai generated (and I agree with you that its most likely aespa that provided the vocal bank/library for her). I think some of the lyrics also ties into her being able to feel pain like a human now that she's "real", with the "hurts such a wonderful feeling" line. since you mentioned it in your pinned comment, someone made an edit of naevis driving the car from this vid and then crashing into aespa in the drama vid and its so funny XD I'm hoping the 2nd artificial intelligence that appeared alongside her in 1991 is not black mamba, but a bigger threat for her to take on for her own story since black mamba is old for us now, like you both said in this reaction (I agree on that). I don't vibe with vocaloid voices so much so I doubt I'll listen to this song much (even though I think naevis is much easier on the ears than vocaloids like miku hatsune), but I'm always gonna be tuned in for the MVs, animations and lore implications 🫡
I definitely think it's some type of deepfake namely because of the knees LOL There is absolute zero way they somehow simulated the knees, the snapiness but smoothness of her movement is also too realistic. Unless the artist is God Himself then I don't think this is a fully rendered/animated model.
@@BrentARJ ooh snap, yeah that makes sense then. I totally missed that part of the credits and was too focused on the mocap and animation credits in it. thanks for the clarification on that 😎
It looks like the type of CGI/ Motion Capture that they used is similar to Alita:Battle Angel, with enhancing the face only. Like making the eyes bigger and hair simulation but the person behind it is real.
I wouldn't be surprised if they modelled parts of her on the aespa members. For a split second here and there I do get flashes of Karina and Winter. But she also reminds me a little of Sakura here and there too lol. Either way, some very impressive CGI and a cool concept.
LOL. Yes. I also believe that Naevis is somehow like the AE of the girl from real world. And it's kinda funny seeing you two getting so into SMCU stuff now.🤣
So I think this is more lore going into it because if everyone remember black mamba never died in the first one naevis just banished her to hold her off
i dont know if you’ll see this but i love your channel and i always watch it a lot 💞 & i rlly want to recommend you to watch NCT’S newest sub unit that had debuted just this year! named NCT WISH !! To put it simply, they are basically the japanese unit for NCT & their songs are rlly good and im very curious of your reaction to them 💕 some MV’s that i recommend are WISH (their debut), Songbird (1st cb) & Dunk shot (pre-release for their new mini album coming on 24th September) i feel like you guys would LOVE their vibe 😍🙏🏻
this is insane, I love it. it has to be a real person, I haven't seen AI be able to get perfect muscle movement. I can see her Vastus Lateralis move when she dances
when you said Nævis reminded you of someone and it was not any of the Æspa girls, I paused it on a shot of Nævis in which she resembled Yooyeon from TripleS.
I’m so glad yall said something about not feeling right. It’s hard to explain but I get bad vibes from this whole thing and it made me feel really strange
I love SM lore and I actually liked the song and the visuals, the vocals are kinda disturbing me though. And as for her face, I definitely see some Taeyeon in there.
I think sm might have just fused aespa's features together for the naevis' looks. People say she looks like Karina, but personally I don't see Karina in her.
Pretty sure this isn’t mocap. As someone very knowledgeable in 3D this seems to be a real human dancing and not mocap or 3D. They must’ve used ai to replace the face with naevis’s face. Like a deepfake.
I don’t think she’s good. I dunno if she’s been taken over by the black mamba or if it’s something else. But Welcome To MY World had a sinister undercurrent to me and gave me a feeling of something bad coming (Welcome To MY World is my favourite aespa song) and Done gives me similar vibes. Also I hope they follow up on that BoA cameo.
Can you guys react to Katseye (They are hybe new global girl group): My way lyric film mv I'm pretty lyric film mv Tonight I might lyric film mv Touch mv Debut mv
naevis is a real person and she debuted solo she looks like an AI because she has an unreal face and that's why she was chosen as the AI concept. she's real but just a concept same as aespa
no she isn't, naevis is a character. if you're talking abt the dance scenes in the video then it could be animated based on a real person dancing or AI or deepfake technology (replacing their face with naevis face)
@orbitsomnia I think she's saying that behind naevis is a real person.. tho in the video, it shows that she is an AI since it's the whole aespa concept
@@NasusP. But there isn't a person behind naevis, at least not a *single* person.. the voice sounds like a mix of aespa's voices synthesized and the dance could be a random regular dancer with a deepfake of naevis' face on them or a motion capture animation so naevis is more like a bunch of people + computer programs
