Converted airstreams make beautiful tiny homes on wheels. I've found that the new ones are nice but aren't always conducive for full time living (not to mention the astronomical costs for a new one). So beautiful to see what Allison and James have built!
I would have pitched a tent on pallets to use for sleeping when working on the camper or when sleeping hours are an issue. Must be nice to have so many talents to pull it all together. I'm impressed

@@miranda_miranda I saw one also where a couple and their two youngish boys live in a large tent - with a bit of an addition added - out on space they rent. The place they have is large by 'normal' standards, but some of that visually facilitated by lots of trees & bushes. It makes it feel like they live acres away from anyone one else. In reality they have water by way of a hose from the main house, plus they have a solar power set-up. They have made it work.
My Dad used to pitch a huge army tent for us all to sleep in during the hot summer time. We lived in a tiny mobile home with 6 of us so the tent felt so huge. I really enjoyed that.😊
Some of my happiest memories are living in a 31 ft Trailer HOUSE ( camper as some call them ) VERY NICE , LOVE the openness and white color of the walls ! Very soothing to the SPIRT !
Having built our van in 5 months, their process was the first one I've seen that looked very similar to ours. So fun to see a very realistic build, and the result is stunning!
It looks beautiful. Congratulations on the lovely home. You worked really hard on it! it is great that you have all the great options of where you are parked too.
Yay! Another couple living in an Airstream. You two need to come see us in Costa Rica and do another episode with us. We shipping our Airstream to our land in the jungle and are in the middle of building an awesome loft platform for it. Hope you are well!
@hopscotchtheglobe amazing you guys, that sounds so dreamy! When we plan an adventure to Central America we will certainly be in touch! Likewise if you're ever back up in the Pacific Northwest get in touch, welcome to stay at ours and/or join us for a sail!
I admire how you were able to design and build your own tiny house. This is well thought of as you have considered how you live together and being mindful to live minimally. Great Work!
Such a beautiful home!!... It's so well thought out and designed. I'm in shock that you did this on your own without prior experience. It's just gorgeous... Well done! Safe travels, happy living, and much love to you both 💕😊
This is beautiful, well done. We live in northern Canada and are looking to live here in spring/summer/fall and then to BC for the winter months where we can live in an RV and stay warm. So was happy to see someone living year round in an rv in BC.
Def hearing how simplifying has given them more time for enjoying other pastimes and reduced their cost of living. So many benefits to living in the forests.
Beautiful build… so comfortable.🐾 I have a 1972 land yacht in my backyard, which I am restoring…. my intention is to put it on a permanent spot surrounded by a deck with an outside shower and a 10 x 20‘ full bathroom with washer and dryer… right now. It’s in my backyard I use it as my Zen meditation, safe spot. You guys seem to have figured life out and that’s wonderful.👀💕🙏
Thank you for sharing your amazing story. I appreciate your candidness about the pros and cons. James looks like a Beach Boy. Your home is lovely and has great character I wish you two the very best in your travels and much enjoyment sailing. From Texas.
They have made such a beautiful place out of a tiny area. Truly like the decor and layout. Wishing them many happy years in their special tiny home. Thanks again Matt and Danielle for sharing.❤
What a beautiful trailer, couple, story. Very few couples could manage this small space together. Their ability to work togeether as a couple is even more remarkable than their remodel of the air stream. For me, someone who collects art from all over the world when I travel, I need a much larger space. I also need space for my clothes :). In a small space there is no room for clothes, art, etc. So, I imagine that this life style is not livable for "forever," especially if kids are desired. But, who cares, for a few years, great!
love these type of trailers , you two have done a considerable amount of work basically rebuilding it and have done a spectacular job on this project you two are very talented and have created a well deserving tiny home build , nice that you have it nestled amongst the trees and can share the garden, Have to love those countertops .
Love that bathroom! Very smart and beautiful! Plus the divider wall. And, pretty much everything else! Lol! Nice couple too! And, great music! Always look forward to your creations Mat!
I wish people in america were more honest this kind of living is popular more now than ever due to the housing crisis and lack of work, as well as the massive amount of debt we find ourselves in due to student loans etc.
I have to say, very inappropriate but dude at least you have a beauty as your other half 😁. Salad bar every day, all day, any time of day 🤩🙌😁! You both are so fortunate and enjoy enjoy every minute. Priceless.
