Really good RU-vid, it's fun to watch. Oh, I think so - if the chainsaw is sharpened with an angle grinder instead of a file, full body protection is absolutely necessary when chainsaw... Due to the heat generated by the angle grinder, the metal drastically loses its properties! With a special file for chainsaws, you can automatically see and check the chain links for defects. Lots of youtube out there showing how to sharpen. Great videos that you two are doing. 🥳

For the drainage ditches you dug for the road, you can expect significant erosion down the slope and into your yard during heavy rainstorms. You might want to experiment with a different design using lots of gravel or larger stones, possibly even drain water away from your yard.

Hello, greetings form Portugal. Awsome project. just subscribed. Just one question, why are you doing inside walls on the old cabin? Many stone cabins I see being restored just fill in the stone gaps with lime plaster see some stone remains to be seen.

Just discovered your channel and have enjoyed following your journey, what nationality are you both and so young too well done, my husband just wishes you used more safety gear you only are born with one set of eyes protect them .

Hola. Por lo que veo parece que no tenéis planeado recrecer la cabaña. ¿Tenéis pensado cambiar la lastra del tejado? Tengo unos amigos (en la zona de Selaya) que también mantuvieron la estructura de madera por razones económicas y en el tejado recubrieron (de abajo arriba) con paneles machiembrados, pintura polimérica y luego huevera y una capa de prado. Les quedó un tejado verde con dos aperturas de cristal fijo para luz la mar de pintón. Muy luminoso y a prueba de lluvia, y para el viento pusieron el borde de lastras, con la tierra y la hierba quedó también muy bien aislado. Si os interesa os puedo poner en contacto para que os den ideas. ¡Ánimo con el proyecto!

Precioso proyecto, pero esa pared de bloques de concreto deberia llevar varilla de acero. Por lo menos aqui en Costa Rica vos no podés construir algo en concreto sin varilla. No duraria ni 3 años. Los felicito. Great project.
