Movie Description:
This is a romantic comedy film directed by Hugh Wilson and released in 1999. The movie stars Brendan Fraser, Alicia Silverstone, Christopher Walken, and Sissy Spacek.
The story revolves around Adam Webber (Brendan Fraser), who has spent his entire life in an underground fallout shelter built by his eccentric scientist father, Calvin (Christopher Walken), during the Cold War era. Adam emerges from the shelter 35 years later, believing that a nuclear apocalypse has devastated the world.
Upon venturing out into the unfamiliar world of 1990s Los Angeles, Adam encounters Eve Rustikov (Alicia Silverstone), a young woman who helps him navigate the modern world. As Adam adjusts to life above ground, he experiences culture shock and struggles to adapt to the societal changes that have occurred during his time underground.
As Adam and Eve spend more time together, they develop a romantic connection. However, Adam's unusual background and quirky mannerisms create challenges in their relationship. Meanwhile, Adam's parents, who stayed behind in the shelter, become increasingly concerned about their son's well-being and decide to venture into the outside world themselves.
