This skit is hilarious because I actually know people like that therapist! Are top notch in their professional lives but do some questionable 💩 in their personal lives 😬
My sister went through a bi phase with her bestie. Her besties oldest daughter had a therapist who stopped being her therapist when she beheaded herself by lying on the train tracks. My mom had a therapist who had a passion for DID cases and managed to convince my mom who was in a manic state that she had an alter who was a British nanny. I’ve found therapists are either: a:) crazy as fck. b:) so well adjusted and naive that talking to them about your life traumatizes them. c:) are just there for the paycheck. d:) are dumb as bricks and think highlights and a vegan diet would make you stop wanting to off yourself. e:) the one who develops inappropriate feelings. Or f:) the rare and mythical unicorn of therapists: well adjusted, empathetic, smart, well educated, a good person who wants to help you. I’ve only had the f type once as a teenager.
@@Comrade_mommy that's sad, I hope everyone had access to the F type ( there are also extreme G type who don't give a shit and would gaslight you into think there's no issue with the patient)
Very happy to see underused Punkie finally get a lead role. She did a great job. So did Ego, and underused Melissa. I have to give Jake a lot of credit for going back and forth between the main part and a supporting figure in the sketch without missing a beat.
Put thecrack pipe down because you my friend are hallucinating. Maybe melissa needs more screen time. Atleast we know tht she is funny. Punkie isnt and never will be. She reminds me of Joe Rogans stand up. Its memorable, but not in a good way. Cringe fest
@@newsrapper except it’s not a funny joke. My late mother was a therapist for over 30 years and she had *serious* mental health problems. I felt sorry for her clients.
Well, on some level it is to be expected. A surgeon cannot give themselves open heart surgery. Doesn't mean they don't know how to do it. It's just that even though you know how, it's best to let someone else do it. You see that in most career fields. My career is in the arts. I write, design, and paint. It's very hard for me to proofread or critique my own work. A part of me is too close to it. I'm prone to overcritize some things and undercritize other things. Someone else just as skilled and talented as I am can give a well, rounded review. And I can do the same for them. That's not to say that some people aren't in the wrong field. There some mental health workers that just aren't suited for it for a variety of reasons. But I do think expecting them to be able to perfectly balance their lives and issues is a bit unrealistic and unfair.
“Gurrrllll…you think you the only one selling fish out in these streets. But I don’t need your stinky tuna when I get a beach full of fresh pink salmon every time it rains. Imma bring a gun to your office.”
I did not think this would be as funny as this actually was! I mean the counselor's office is such an overplayed thing but my gosh this was amazing! Everyone was just perfect!!
Languages and linguistics are a hobby of mine. I enjoyed listening to the code switching in real time. It usually doesn't happen with that much back and forth.
Hey, therapists can have problems too.😉 I love that Dr. Wyatt said her partner didn’t know where she worked, then she straight up told her.😂 Also, that super soaker really will get everyone wet.😉😆
This has the same energy of Alec Baldwin's Child Counselor character from a few years ago but Punkie being her full self and bringing the lesbian representation just ELEVATES this to another level than the original. That, plus the Anime vs Manga semantics at the start being a wonderful lead-in to the use of innuendo and code-switching... 🧐What a fantastic skit, holy crap.
Lmao this is so funny. UT reminds me of my cousin and her wife. Every time I go to there place and they get into a argument I get stuck in the middle of it
anyone else actually find this skit moving? I really felt for this couple I JUST MET FIVE MINUTES AGO, and I love the counselor and her chaotic relationship. This is immediately on my favourite skits of all time list!
Bowen and Chloe became full cast members in their third season. Next season will be Punkie and Andrew's third season. If they become full cast members, I bet they'll get more time.
The pen is mightier than the SUPER SOAKER. GRRRRR.... They purple makin' me feel red and blue all over. Let's go catfishin". You can spit on my worm. It's good luck🤗🔥🛡️🪱❤️
