I have 1 more tip. Its not just for newbies it's for everyone. DO NOT take someone to the store with you that is impatient. I know that sounds weird but when I started couponing I was 16 and when I wanted to go to the store my mom would come with me. At first I did small deals and shopped at just Walgreens(My mom hated CVS and really didn't care for Riteaid at the time). One day I felt that I was doing pretty good and wanted to do many deals with many transactions and at 3 different stores. So the first store we went to was Walgreens and I was nervous and kind of wasnt too sure about some deals. I messed up on some of the deals because I was uninformed but while the cashier and manager was trying to help me the best way they could my mom was making rude comments about EVERYTHING! Rude comments about what I was buying, the cashier, the manager, and the store it's self. Because of her impatience and rude comments I ended up over spending and blow my whole budget that I had for all 3 stores that night. She kept yelling at me because I messed up. I'm 18 now and I'm now WAY more experienced than I was that one day. My mom still comes with (because I need to her store card to stock up on items) but I now understand the deals and how each store works. I shop at Walgreens, CVS, and Riteaid every week. I know how to stick to my budget and how to get money back and sometimes I go to the stores by myself so I won't have someone always rushing me. So if you dont want to go shopping alone go with someone who is patient or bite the bullet and go alone! It's very calming to me now.
Sara Miles That is great advice. I am trying to figure out how to go alone. I am 60 and I try not to drive because I have bad neck problems and it hurts me to drive. But if I have my husband take me, he tries to be patient, but he does not want to go to 2 or 3 stores. LOL I figure he should take me cause all week he does what he wants, plays pool, helps my sons out, goes to my granddaughters games, etc, and I never complain that I am home alone too much. He thinks couponing is kind of silly, so I am going to keep track of what I save each week so I can tell him. I am on disability, so I figure, if I can't work and make money, I will sit in my recliner and clip coupons and save money. I think it is great that you are so young and are already so good at couponing. This is a skill that will help you all your life!!
Sharon Hladky i do have my own store card but most stores have a limit on deals so i if see a good deal and i want to stock up on that item i tell my mom to come and explain the deals and give her the coupons. Most of the times she offers to pay for what im getting with her card but i always plan to pay for it. lol

I loved this video , all day today I've been searching online , on RU-vid for examples and every video I clicked on just basically bragged about the items they have .... but never showed how to... I really appreciate the information. I'm a young mom and not rich financially and I have the determination to figure this out to change my spending ... I'm mote interested in things I will need , not into the extreme couponing.

Hello... I was wondering... are you located in Florida? I live here in Jacksonville, been here since 2002 and realized that Publix stores is only located in Florida. Jacksonville is known to be a military location.
WOW !!! Okay the one question I have is... I will cut out a coupon and thinking I can use it soon...some stores will not have that product on sale until the coupon is expired or just about to. It is very difficult and time consuming if you can not get the item you want on sale with a coupon. You know? I hope I explained that well enough. Great info though. Thanks for sharing Hun! XXOO

I want to thank you for the tips, I really appreciate it. I would really like to get into this but the stores you mentioned we don't have. I live in Alberta Canada and when the show extreme couponing came on TLC I noticed that the stores we had started putting up signs limiting everything so people must have tried some of the wonderful tricks. I love this as the stores charge way to much as it is, we are on a fixed budget as my husband is in a wheelchair so I am always watching for a good deal. I am just going to have to keep studying and looking for stores that actually don't have a hatred of coupons......people out there that love to help us "newbies" are just awesome and I am so happy for your videos and others too that want to help. shomemo37 Thanks so much. Yes...I'm super busy lol.. I usually spend about 1/2 hour on getting my deals prepared on sunday. Then on monday morning I look on the blog sites to see what's on sale in my area. I also get help on deals I miss from my instagram family:) I usually shop when I can that's between mon-thurs Good luck to you don't give up it will pay off. Have a fantastic day :)

Do I need to physically have multiple coupons of the same coupon in my hand or can I use that same one multiple times. :)

Hi Denise, I am from the Bahamas and back in the late nineties I had friends from Canada who would go e me coupons from there Miami Herald newspaper and it was a big savings. I've found my self becoming interested in coupon again so I need all the help I can get as I no longer have access to the us newspaper. Thank for the tips.

Sorry, I know this post is very old but I just watched it and had a question. When you were referring to the buy 4, or buy three coupons, then said you can use other coupons multiple times for additional discounts , where do you get that information? Meaning, how do you know how many times a coupon can be used? Will it say it on the coupon and if it doesn’t then it can only be used once? Thank you!! I have always wanted to try couponing but it seems overwhelming and I am not crazy about the idea of stockpiling.

Question: 11:59 You said you can use multiple coupons on one item even if you don't buy them both and I wanted a little clarity. Say Land O Lakes butter is marked "2 for $6" I can use two manufacturers coupons on 1 pack of butter? I was just a little confused. TIA!
PrettiestProblem You cannot use 2 coupons on 1 pk of butter. If it's a BOGO you can use two coupons. On a 2/$6 you can use 2 coupons because technically you are buying two! I know it's confusing it was for me at first lol... you will get it. I hope that helps you. Good Luck :)

When you said.....like for example, 2 for $6.00 and we can use two coupons.....those coupons can be manufactured coupons each? Or for instance one manufactured coupon and one store coupon?

This one was a little hard for me just getting started....When i went to the sites like coupon mom etc it being hard to just print them the site kept taking me to other sites
Ummi Sumayyah I went to coupon mom without a problem and was able to print a ton of coupons from a link they sent me. I went to Walmart tho use one of them just to make sure it was legit and they were! It will work out!
