+Ethan Perez It is Hill Climb. A short course usually between 1 km and 4 km in length and the steepness of the climb varies depending on the location. They usually are run on a public road course closed for the event. In the European race format there are numerous classes depending on the engine capacity and vehicle modifications. All cars have to have roll cages and meet other minimum safety standards. The slowest are the production spec. sub 1.6 litre cars and the fastest are the open wheelers and prototypes Some of the teams are full time professional but many of the drivers are limited sponsorship amateurs. It is most popular in Europe but other countries have their own series and classes. They do sometimes use rally spec cars but with slick tyres.
