Wow. I'm in same suitation.. I'm a driver to been driving 9 year.. and I'm not willing to go over the road any more.. just staying local and it not the move any more.. the money I'd cape at the same no more than 63 to 70 a year.. im wanting to go into tech.. but as a QA.. not sales.. want to pick the right course that going to be suitable as a long term career change..
Thanks for the video brother. Question -- how specifically does course careers help you find employment upon passing the course? I Do they call companies and put in a good word? Do they have guaranteed internships linked up for you? Whats the specific way they help? Thanks!
They have make it available for you. You are responsible for your own destiny. They have the options for you to be able to intern for experience or apply to their partner companies, but you have to put in the work and fill out the applications. They also have it setup where companies can see your pass grade and info to reach out to you, but again you should be putting in the work for the results you want.
How is the job going? How is the day to day as a Tech Sales? Do you like your job? What are the pros and cons of the positions? How technically is it? Do you have to make OTE each month? These are the things we want to know lol we see plenty of videos how how good the course and tech is, it’s starting to look like a promo bro lol. Not hating.
I appreciate that bro, it’s what I needed to see for sure. But also, I wanted to get this out of the way. I have one going out today. Talking about my job. Have to remember there are people who don’t know about them yet. I know you not hating though. That’s what I like to see for sure✊🏾
Hey Charles, Not necessarily. If you are willing to be coachable, are ok with some computer use, some of the top people I know that make the most impact and money are older. Like a lot of the Enterprise Account Executives are older, possibly because businesses have a little more trust🤷🏾♂️
The concept of Tech Sales is at companies across the world so the info will still work. CourseCareers only guarantees what they do for the U.S. and Canada.
Hey Shane! The books are apart of the course. So there are certain parts of the books you will complete in order to complete a part of the modules. If you want you can finish the books upfront or read what you need and learn that, then finish the books later. You can use audible if you need to as well. Here is a video that will show you how CourseCareers is structured. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-caIyTUQlE5o.html
Hi Trey. Thank you for sharing this information. I am interested in getting into tech while I work on my entrepreneurial endeavors. Do you believe that I could put in effort for both without feeling overwhelmed? And also are there any paid internships you can do while going through the course? Thank you in advance 😊
That’s the best way, I think depending on the company you go with it will give you more time to work on it. But yes you have the opportunity to fund the business while working a W2. Some of these companies have unlimited pto and allow travel while working.Best of both worlds There are paid internships after you complete the course if you need the experience like $18-$21/hr
Where do you apply for these entry level tech sales positions? Indeed? Linked in? I currently am a truck driver making 31$ an hour but am looking to transition into tech ASAP.
Yea, not everyone wants to do tech sales. Leveld has cybersecurity. Leveld have a tech sales program but it’s for peoplee who are already in the field and wants to grow their skills, not beginners.
Yes, it’s one of the first things you do in the course because it’s pretty important. They help you with it. Hey Kendall, I appreciate you! And that’s awesome, a good way to bring the new year in for sure! It’s a sample, still working on a store. But if you want, you can hit me up on IG and I can get you one early.
Hi! I appreciate your review! I do have experience in sales and tech sales but want to level up to an Account Executive or Account Manager. Do you think course careers can help or is it just to help with entry-level roles?
Hi Rachel, CourseCareers is to help with entry level. LeveldCareers is for AE and above. Here is a link for it, but really well done. techbagessentials.com/leveld
Great question Quin, Long term yes.. possibly (because I find a way) If I’m being transparent, you could find one it will just probably take longer to find a company that’s willing to take a chance on you(a lot of interviews and applications). - you need to be good at interviewing - have your LinkedIn looking good - know the industry software somewhat - understand the role - know what roles to look out for Etc… it’s not impossible but the time wasted through trial and error is what you are paying for imo.
Thanks for the video and dropping the knowledge brother! Quick question -- for remote roles Do most companies require you to use their equipment or can you use your own? I live far out in the country not near a tech hub city. Id be looking for a remote role i could do from my own comp. Is that realistic?
Thank you sir! Because of the data and sensitive info you will be working with all the tech companies will require you to work from their equipment. That being said, there are thousands of ‘fully remote’ positions and they don’t care where you live. They will send the equipment to you at your home and you won’t ever be required to work at the office. Don’t let not living in a tech hub city stop you brother!
Hey Julian, I was a tech. In my opinion it would be worthwhile. Upfront the RPh might take a income hit, especially if they work a lot of overtime for a cvs etc (they could possibly do some hours on the weekends). But the time freedom they would get back is worth it alone. I would say just based on real people that are a little further down the road from me, after a year and a half they would be back at their 6 figure pay + more without the 10-14 hour days.
I have a question brother. First of congratulations on your new journey. I love seeing a black man get paid. Secondly how are these courses per session. Example 1 session is like 3 hours or so?
I’m 22 years old and I’m a Diesel Technician. I make 28/hr and I’m just worried if I take this course I won’t be able to at least match that pay and take care of the bills I have. Do you think it’s possible to make a starting salary in that range ?
Yea it is possible, there are around 200,000 open positions and they range up to 80k+. Since you do have a job, you could always apply and interview and only consider the higher paying roles that you are making now. It could take a little longer but is definitely being done by others weekly.
There are modules that go over Salesforce, Salesloft, and the software that most tech companies use. It is a plus in the interview when you can show that you know it
I am almost definitely going to do t his and use course careers too. Is there any you had to purchase in order to get through this course? Does it require a laptop or anything or is it something you can do on a mobile device or tablet? I know the job requires a laptop I'm just wanting to be as prepared as possible.
The only other thing is 3 books, but once you join if you ask in the Discord group for the pdf version someone will send you the link to them all so you don’t have to buy them. You can go through the course on your phone but I think you will need to use a laptop to complete the final exam. Your job will supply you with a laptop once you get hired.

@TreyandQ thanks for the reply so as long as I have one by the end of my training I'll be ok. So from what you seen though the companies provide you with a laptop? I do not want something like that holding me up. Definitely got a new subscriber and plan on using your link for the course.
It helps you build the LinkedIn and gives a great layout for your resume if you need help with that. But the LinkedIn portion is one of the first things you do when you start the course
@@TechBagTrey Thanks Trey! You've been such a great help! I just started the course today and I do see where they are giving an abundance of info about LinkedIn. I feel like I have so many questions because Im so nervous. Thanks again!
It’s not impossible but it would take awhile to transition to that role. It is easier to do the opposite though. Sales Engineers do work with the sales team but they are more on the technical side.
That’s awesome! You will have the opportunity to work with a sales engineer as an AE from time to time. Sales Engineers know the technical side of the product (what is possible, etc) Sometimes they will get brought in on demos to help the potential client understand a question they have with how the system works. But the AE is actually selling.
@@TechBagTrey Out of all who have finished the course I really like your content the best. I just finished the course myself and look to all of your material for guidance. I would love to see a day in the life of an SDR from you.
Glad that you passed, keep pushing you got this. And I definitely have made one of those Day In the Life Tech Sales BDR/SDR • WFH, Meetings, Call Shadowing, Time Mgmt, KPI's • Tech Bag Trey ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cUOqICBWL8w.html
What's up first off thanks for sharing your journey with us, congratulations on your new career. I've been hesitant and I want to start the journey. It's time to make a change and get my life back on the right track. Blessings to you and yours
Great video. I heard you say that you didn't intern after completing the course so that's not mandatory? If not how is Course Careers paid? Do they get a % of your income for a set amount of time? I'm on the fence and trying to compare them to Vendition. They have a no cost of front but are compensated through your 3mos of intern/training as well as you getting some pay. After completion your income is 100% yours.
Thank you, I that’s correct. You can choose to intern for a company after you finish if you need experience but not mandatory. CourseCareers is extremely transparent about how they make their money. They make their main money when you get hired on with one of the tech companies that they work with, which are great companies. CourseCareers does not take any of your money, they want you to be able to get in the course and get the skills at a good price. Hope that helps with your decision.
Hi, thats really splitting hairs. That’s how to make some money. But they are paying for marketing, etc. so they don’t really make any money when you purchase. The bulk of how they are able to pay the bills comes from their partner companies that they work with. Most of the other camps, make alot of money on you “the person in need” and the companies they partner with. That’s the difference.
@@TechBagTrey so what happens if you don't intern or get a job with their partnered companies? don't they take any money from your pay if you go with a different company ?
No they don’t take any money. I ultimately didn’t intern or go with one of the partnered companies because I was applying on my own as well. You have them confused with a different Bootcamp.
