Yes, we all that money Tennis federation should take some clues from the Olympics to have a world body in preparing events. An automated machine can easily perform a much better job ( consistency over wide area). It is a real sore eyes.
Josh D Probably 3 people or more full time job going around the world with the "machine" on airfreight plane etc... you are not talking replacing a painter here!!. Have a look at the Olympic costs?. WTA Tennis tournament happen about every second weeks or less, that a lot of work with a dozen of courts to remake for each tournament.
That was so beautiful to watch. These people put so much hard work and effort to ensure that the court looks as beautiful as it does. A lot of work goes into a grand slam so a big shout out to everyone involved in making the grand slams and all tennis events possible.
I love the bright blue courts of the Australian Open - the colour gives the tournament such an upbeat and positive energy. Can't wait for the Open to begin - I feel it is wide open in both men's and women's side. Also, kudos to these guys who go through this labour-intensive process of creating the perfect surface.
It's good to see the people who actually put the hard work in getting credit for their work and being proud of the work that they have carried out. Normally it'll be some dick in a suit acting like it was him that's done all the hard work. Great video 👍
The AO Court are same really fast it was last year 2017. 2008-2006 was other color underground in Etagge first red then blue, is slow hardcourt. That is fast-court since 2017: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sYMfGwOA7jc.html (only blue) 2008 -2016 (slow court) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-868mVWAv-T8.html (Red and Blue)
The court coatings are a science , and application is a art. Rewarding service and great job by these guys. Don’t think a machine like someone has mentioned will ever take a humans place resurfacing a court. Clearly they don’t know the process and no two courts are the same
On May 30, 2007, the Australian Openand Tennis Australia announced Plexicushion as the new Australian Open surface, replacing the Rebound Ace surface that had been in use since Melbourne Park was opened in 1988. The surface was installed in time for the 2008 Australian Open, and was accompanied by a change in surfaces at the lead-up tournaments to the Australian Open. Plexicushion is based out of Andover, Massachusetts
Thanks for posting this video Austrlaian open team. Lovely to see the hard workers behind the scenes. Harsh bit to me these hard workers cannot afford the luxurious lives like the players do. After all they are the masters of their art. Hit like if you agree.
Looks the dogs bollocks, the blue is very fitting for the Australian Open, known for their beautiful beaches and water, great whites sharks etc so the blue is a perfect choice.
Holy shit ! Haha i thought nobody do this. I spoiled paint in my floor room to replace rubber sheet. ANDDDD also after couple years, it will give you "3d" texture 😂😂🤣
not using the machine was kind of shocking but wats even more surprising is that they dont even use that paint tapes for precision? wtf? just trace out thin lines n paint ?
As a former painter to get through college, the blue court is an art form. But throwing paint over take and hoping it doesn't go through is pure luck, even the best tapes leak which is why most painters either don't use tape or paint as if it isn't there for the best lines
sudarshan chauhan because rod laver arena is used for more then just tennis. I have been to rod laver around 5-6 times and only once have I been there for the tennis
Hijam Melody yes I love them. But so much care and effort put into clay court at Roland Garros so for me French Open is the best slam and hardest to win. But I do love Australian Open👍🎾❤️
