Thanks for the video! While I like 3 man, I still prefer 2 man for this very reason of rotations. Not because it’s difficult but because in order to rotate correctly and effectively, it requires all referees to spend a considerable amount of their focus and eyes on their partners which means your focus is drawn away from what’s most important, the players! You’ll never be able to ref the players as well if part of ur brain is occupied keeping track of “what are my partners doing?” In 2 man all your focus is always on the players and your positioning on court is always based on where the ball or players are at except for those rare grey area switch offs or marking 3s etc. wish 3 man could figure out a way to reduce the need to partner watch and focus more of your efforts on player watching. It’s a lot like the impossible task of calling offsides in soccer. The official must see the ball kicked at the same time he sees the position of the attacker and defender. If I’m watching my partner rotate im potentially missing something w one of my competitive matchups.
