I just did them as I went until I was ready to properly hunt for the challenges. I got it after the second song, and I was like "Cool, guess I've been doing better than I thought." The game is also VERY forgiving. Part of why I thought I needed more challenges was that I completely butchered most of the Virtuoso songs.
The shawzin is my favorite part of this game. I just wish the record/share feature wasn't so limited. It needs more notes and the ability to key change while recording.
Shawzin enthusiast, a whole new niche of warframe players I never knew existed! I had no idea there were so many different Shawzins either! I guess this is going to be the first one that I aquire.
The niche is real... I spent am entire year of doing 1 or 2 missions, then doing nothing but shawzin in my orbiter for hours. Is fun. Especially being able to rickroll :)
i really suck at anything that requires rhythm, that includes baby games like friday night funking, and yet i find the shawzing challenges surprisingly tame and easy to follow even on virtuoso mode, i really recommend people to try them out, easy decrees on any run. also the tip that appears at the bottom of the screen is pretty useful
banjo shawzin sounds amazing... it would be cool if we got a shawzin for the other open worlds, I feel like I could see some Cetus guy with one of those... or maybe they'll add Kermit to New Loka in place of the eco facist
I actually have some more thoughts on that. I might do a round of Shawzin "concept" videos like I did back in the day for Mandachord instrument set concepts.
Something I did that improved my shawzin skill for no apparent reason was rebinding the down arrow fret into the up arrow. It just worked...not sure what's up with my brain.
Probably worth an updated video at some point ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EKkiIFm18Q0.html The number row 1-0 on a keyboard would be difficult for two reasons: 1) There 12 notes in a shawzin scale, not counting chords, and 2) It would clash with the default string keys 1-3.
As someone who is very experienced at rhythm games, my god the setup for the shawzin songs is so confusing. Timing is easy for me but they're actually difficult for me despite the charts being very easy simply because you have to hold frets down.
literally the only song i want to play on shawzin is the TF2 engineer's "More Gun" acoustic solo on the nelumbo (i think thats the name of the lotus themed one iirc) while running missions as protea cosplaying as the engi while my buddy does their best heavy impression with grendel using the larkspur... sadly though im white and therefore have negative stats in the musical talent department so i can only hope someday someone else makes it in a form i can just copy paste into my game to have it autoplay.
It’s a shame that only 3 or 4 of the 12 songs only actually need some level of skill to ace and even fewer that actually sound good. Like… as someone who actually dedicates time to the shawzin and actively plays it (on console might I add) it actually feels insulting how easy some of them are to play and how badly composed they are. Legit they sound like they were made by people who only just picked up a shawzin for the first time
Not sure if i will actually use it over the tiamat but it does look really nice. Unfortunate that console only has a few songs (unless you can make them yourself)
If you're interested in playing Shawzin then start by getting the free one, obviously. If you're still interested after than then it depends on what kind of music you want to play.
Loved that Take on me arrangement! Honestly didnt play shawzin much before the update but I managed to do one song in virtuoso after some tries, gonna try to get that shawzin for sure. Looked for the dulcimer and found this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-scUo81nYJW8.html dont know if it matches with the shawzin though.
Yeah, that's a western dulcimer, which usually have metal strings played with metal hammers. It's gonna be a brighter sound than your traditional Yangcin, which uses silk strings and bamboo hammers. Whatever they recorded for the the Courtly Shawzin is probably somewhere between those two. It's brighter than the Yangcin I showed but not quite as piecing as a typical western Dulcimer.
So that's why it suddenly appeared in my inventory. No joke I went to place some duviri decoration in my dormizone and saw that shawzin and I thought it was a unlisted reward from the quest. I simply did all the shawzin songs for decrees and because it was easy and fun
the only hard part for this is really just finding the locations to play the music at. and hoping you have the archarbor present, because there's one at that location.
Update: The Amphitheater is not there during Sorrow. I should also add that doing the "Normal" version before "Virtuoso" helps a lot. (Issues with the Shawzin emote if this is your first Shawzin should have been fixed)
This is the first obscure instrument Shawzin I've actually recognised. Im _so glad_ that the sound of a hammered dulcimer is something I can recognise right away like that, it's *_definitely a useful skill to have and not at all useless in my day to day life..._*
At first, I thought Virtuoso was gonna be a pain to do, turns out you can do all 12 in under 20 minutes if you get the hang of it quick enough, this is good in general, for new players who want a Shawzin, and for old players who get a free shawzin to add to their collection of probably numerous others, thanks for the guide on how to get it Buff00n, the songs you do on the Shawzin are really well done
@@555Soupy555 makes sense, the code was probably written in a way that it assumed you couldn't play the shawzin if you hadn't bought it from the market xd
6:57 In Germany we call this a "Hackbrett". Translates to chopping board. It's one of those instruments that somehow exists in pretty much any culture around the world in some form. Basically a manual piano. Or a zither with additional steps.
To be fair, you don't even need to git that gud. As long as the game does not kick you off the stage with rotten mapricos and tells you to try again, you're good.
I've been waiting for this video. Seeing the map in the video made me wish I spent a little bit more time on it (Since I literally made it in MS paint). But by the time I found all the points a few hours after the launch, I had been awake for 27 hours and feeling super loopy.
I thought about redoing it, but in the end I felt it was perfect the way it was. You'll notice I was also using MSPaint to number them as I went through :)
@@Buff00n hearing you say the map was perfect the way it was warms my cold dead heart. I am excited to see what you do with the shawzin app and what new shawzin we have to look forward to in the future in this funny little space ninja game of ours where we deal billions of damage while fishing and playing a space guitar in-between the mayhem..
I just got the Corbu yesterday and I'm glad this Shawzin is fairly easy to get as the overdrive guitar doesn't work for all the songs I want to play lol. Thanks for the guide and showcase! Update: Just got it! Didn't take as long as I thought it would lol (about 40 minutes)
I Did These Easily? But It Was In Anger Stages Of Duviri, So I Left And Came Back To Instantly Go Into Envy Stages Of Duviri, And Did ArcHarbor in normal and virtuous -Dah ONII'
Unfortunately there seems to be an oversight and if you haven't bought a Shawzin before, you can't use the Courtly upon receiving it because you don't receive the Shawzin emote like if you were to buy one. Though I checked the forums and it seems if you submit a support request inquiring about it you can be granted the emote.
Why does your Drfiter look like a discount Diva? I like it, but, it really looks like your Drfiter came from Overwatch 2 or Cyberpunk and was like: "Yo what's up btichs, gonna kill you with rock and roll!"
I think it's bugged. Did all 12 the way you said and never obtained. Checked my inventory to be sure and still not there. Damn you DE. Nevermind. Found it. Apparently it won't show up in inventory screen because it's classified as a decorative item.
Now if only we could get the key changes reverted so we csn use sky and water again... or was it sky earth We can use ab and bc but not ABC or ac. I know you said you submitted a suggestion but I don't really have hope for de ever reading suggestions
Thank you for the guide! I first got into playing the shawzin from watching some of your videos and others like it! I'm always looking for some songs that I can play with the vanilla controls. Is there a place where there are some song codes compiled to have more songs to play?
I've seen a Steam user doc somewhere that's collected a ton of them, and I'm sure Google will turn up a dozen more repositories. However, I can only vouch for the accuracy of the hundred or so that I've done on my channel.
Oh, hey, man. Long time no see. Yeah, they know about the issues with the new D-pad scheme. Clearly nobody actually tested that with the L + R chords. I sent them a suggestion, we'll see what happens.
You can remap the shawzin controls in the setting. Go to options, controller, customize controller and go to shawzin. You can the controls back to the old ones. You can remap everything now from general gameplay to decorating to railjack.
Nevermind, I'm dumb. After watching you show off all the Shawzin, I thought about it and checked, I already had it. I probably already had it weeks ago, which means I've wasted hours trying to earn something I already had ~_~ They don't make those pop ups easy to notice. I didn't even know the Cinta existed, until I saw a video on the bow, even though I had done many own statues for it and already had some pieces D:
I'm pretty sure that's coming at the end of June, and it's just gonna be a skin for the Dax Shawzin, like the Dawn and Mimica Shawzins. Every other Iridos item has been just a skin or cosmetic. If it's an actual new sound, locked behind Prime Gaming, then there's gonna be a shit storm.
