Joan Jett's 'I Love Rock & Roll" was one of the first album's that I bought with my own money (allowance money, that is! It was many years later when I learned that she was from my neck of the woods (Maryland) and when I also learned about The Runaways.

That's actually a different band! Dot was in the Shaggs. My father-in-law played bass in the single-G Shags, they were pretty great.
