Courtney: From a Fan Favorite to a Hated Character… 

She's still my favorite, but it's clear the writers have no idea what to do with her. I wish they explore her rivalry with Lindsey more

Season 1: Kind Adventurous Princess. Season 2: Sassy Girlboss Season 3: A girl that needs a man to avoid crying (Alejandro, duncan..) Season 5: a fucking mean toxic ass crybaby….

If her and Bridgette got more screentime together, that would’ve been the best Courtney like the one we loved in 2007.

I hate what they did to Courtney I mean she was turning nicer in tdwt she was admitting her flaws and mistakes.. and being nicer but then it’s the whole gwuncan thing that messed her up 🤦‍♀️ Then all stars don’t even get me started😫

Courtney was always my favourite character. She is a very realistic person but at the same time so interesting to follow, her personality in general is exhilarating. She isn't morally good but she isn't completely evil either. a human, a human with flaws and perks. I also love her design.

No one talks about how her actions are justified in World Tour. Like think about it. She was great in the beginning of the season until Gwen and Duncan. It’s understandable how she angry at a girl who she was a forming a friendship with. So World Tour was a good season for Courtney. And if you think her being upset is a reason for hating her, then that’s a terrible logic

Unpopular opinion: Courtney's complaining in world tour (as annoying as it was) was justified for the most part. Hell, Duncan literally cheated on her with someone she was friend-ish with. I'd be mad mad too if that happened to me.

Was never a big fan of her ....but it sad that such a Character's development potential got wasted after TDI .

As someone who has Courtney as her favorite, her derailment is just sad and she could have development in action instead of derailment. I do understand why people hate her and i respect their opinion. She could have been really good in all stars and world tour and could have fix her bad writing but no.

Courtney is one of my favorite characters, but how she was made in tda made me mad showing he bosses around Duncan and abusing him. I think she got more nicer in tdwt until they made the whole Duncan and Gwen thing causing her to get more violent and violent. This most likely made her scarred making her a brat. I know Duncan still loves Courtney even though he cheated on her. And I don't understand why Gwen said, "She wasn't his boyfriend at the time!" Which I don't understand. But I still blame this on the creators of total drama and how they made Courtney an brat who always calls her lawyers for one little thing which made her last longer in tda. Edit: Also, they made Courtney hard on herself because she wanted to be a lawyer. To be honest as much as I feel bad for Courtney, I also feel bad for Duncan. I also am annoyed by the fact how they created Courtney.

I really miss when total drama was kinda "realistic" and relatable. Actually the more unrealistic and unrelatable the show went the more boring it was imo.

Am I the only one who really likes Courtney’s progression of becoming more unhinged and crazy? I honestly think it’s pretty funny. You can even see the this starting with her line towards the audience at the end of the second episode. The only thing I don’t really like is how she gets to be friends with Gwen again in season 5 and then they just throw that all away in the episode where she gets eliminated.

I feel so bad for Courtney. She is probably the third strongest competitor in the original contestants, easily making the merge if not unfairly voted out. She lacks social skills though, which makes her seem rude and annoying, but in reality she probably just doesn’t know how to react in that situation. People hate her and like Gwen and Duncan even though they kissed behind her back while her and Duncan were still together, and didn’t even feel bad about dating while she was still in the game. She didn’t overreact in my eyes, because they literally didn’t even show signs of regret, and had no problem dating when she was right there. We need justice for Courtney.

Courtney is my favorite character. And the writers screwed her up big time. But something that Courtney was every season was ENTERTAINING. It’s called Total Drama and she gave the viewers drama. I love her and will defend her to the day I die.

I didn't like Courtney, but her appearance in Action sealed the deal. Her downfall was impactful in the WORST WAY POSSIBLE. She turned into a spoiled rich kid who brings out lawyers whenever she didn't get her way. Wasted potential. She had better not be in the new Total Drama season.

It's really sad to see a fictional character go through so much derailment no matter how much they tried to improve. Fresh TV really did her dirty. I hope they learned their lesson.

One of the dumbest things about All Stars was making Courtney a hero (even though she was literally Season 2s villain) and making Gwen a villain (kissing Duncan ain’t nearly enough)

honestly, i wouldn’t necessarily call courtney a backstabber to gwen in AS. i mean, it would’ve technically been in her best interest to go to the finale with scott and she was both allies with them so when push came to shove she had to make a decision regardless.

I enjoyed Courtney as a character. She will always be my favorite but season 2 made me hate her slightly. The writers ruined her character. All Stars would’ve been her season to win but ofc the writers messed it all up for her. She was quite chill that season with a few sassy moments. World Tour Courtney was fine until she began sabotaging the team trying get Gwen kicked off.

In a way, Courtney started off as evil as Heather was back in World Tour and All-Stars but as she progressed, she got even more vile than season 1 Heather.

Total Drama slandered every single character after season 1. The only one that didn’t get treated dirty was Heather which is shocking to think about.

She became annoying when she started doing much by threatening to sue and suing the crew as she cheated her way through action. In world tour ig she couldn’t get away with it again as the show got more popular inside the show itself that they definitely strengthened their lawyers that threats or sue attempts from her no longer became a problem.

I wish her friendship with gwen lasted.

in season one, she was all about friendship and teamwork. in season five, she completely gave up on friendship and teamwork all together. for the friendship part, i think that's on duncan and gwen. when she finally made up with gwen, (still s5) her hopes came back about friends and everything. she became even more lighthearted. especially since she got a boyfriend that was "somewhat loving". then mal showed everyone the list, and she lost everything.

I liked Courtney when she was on Skatoony, it was a nice mix of her being goody goody and chill

Courtney's character writing made me upset. I really liked her character and they really messed her up. And it sucks because in the first season they were able to write her so well. She was flawed but still a fun and likeable character. Why did they give up on that?

TBH take away the fact Harold Manipulated her character, Gwen stole her boyfriend and the bad writing of Season 5, she is a well developed and solid character, def one of the best

I thought she was like the anti-Heather in season 1 she looked out for her team while Heather turned her's against each other, and even Heather herself admitted she saw Courtney as a worthy opponent. Then she would just throw lawsuits around like she's Ken Penders in season 2 which got really annoying.

I honestly get why courtney turned out this way, From being a good person to a complete sad character. Duncan’s influence on her made her a better character imo. I hate the whole duncan x gwen plot, Not because I dislike the ship(thats one of the reasons) but its just that it was a completely unnecessary ship. They were better off as friends, I hate how they build up a good friendship and ruin it with the whole shipping thing(it was probably because of fanservice but still) Putting the ship aside, I feel bad for courtney. She definitely deserves to win a season, She was voted off unfairly in the first season and it would’ve been fine if harold gained something from this but he didn’t which made the elimination suck even more. Her anger on the second season was her desperation to win, and I get that. I must say that she can be a bit annoying at times but It adds a good drama to the series(Imo she’s a better antagonist than Justin) TDWT courtney was where it all started to completely fall for her character. I get why people dislike her for that but lets be honest, How would you react if you saw your bf kiss another woman?(I honestly think they were still together since they got back together in some extra episode) I get why she acted that way and it was honestly reasonable for her to be that way. Lastly, All Stars. Now i never liked all stars and this season genuinely sucked so bad I didn’t even bother to finish it. Courtney here was at her “worst” or thats what people say, She’s had so many arcs and the writers just love to ruin that for somewhat season and I dont get it. I blame the writers for her horrible writing but I honestly still love her. The gwen and Courtney friendship was nice though(i never cared for gwen so yea) It made me like gwen but right after She got with duncan goodbye 💀 I just wish she could atleast get a better development because she deserves so much better. (pls let her win a season) Just a little reminder, This is all entirely my opinion lol

The only time I disliked Courtney was when she decided to get smug thinking it was Harold going home after Duncan bullied him the entire season, voting Harold off as a popularity contest. But other than that, I love her. I prefer her being a neutral leader-type character with just a little bit of bossiness like in TDI and TDWT until she finds out about the cheating. Her attitude with that is 100% justified. I began disliking Gwen the moment she did Trent dirty and Duncan was always unlikable to me. Cool, but unlikable. So Courtney's angry vindictiveness when she said Gwen was eliminated was so satisfying

Season 2 Courtney fighting Duncan makes literally 0 sense like she got memory loss of ALL their romantic interactions season 3 Courtney I’m pretty sure Duncan basically broke up with her when he voted her so all her anger makes no sense
