She is a stage beast for sure. Even as a very young 9 year old she sang her heart out with attitude. Also to answer your question, she is from the NE UK area. Heavy accent at times but she tames it to who she's talking with from what I can tell. There's a few things I'm amazed by that aren't talked about much, but when Howie asks her if she knows the documentary about Janis Joplin where Clyde Davis signs her and Courtney says yes (which is not something any teen would know about, even many adults never looked into it.) And also noticing how fast the audience came to a standing ovation during and throughout her performance. She also had the same reaction the year before when she was 12 years old performing her audition for The Voice Kids, which btw, is just a good as this was. I enjoy this every single time. Even though I saw her in the previous year on The Voice Kids UK, she got lost amongst the crowd, being a singing comp. But this she shone. This is an incredible performance, and a great introduction to the lovely talented young lady. Almost everything she sings gives me goosebumps, and I can give you a list of other videos of hers that I'm sure that you will enjoy too.

Hi Bane. So cool that you've come upon Courtney's music. Courtney is absolutely amazing. The best thing to happen to the music world in decades, if not forever. She is equally great in everything from Rock to R&B, Funk, Soul and Ballads and there never is any loss to the incredible quality of her music. She even had an opera clip go viral on TikTok. You can't fully tell from this audition, but she is a true stage beast, in the best sense of the word, and dominates a stage like no other when she's rocking out. She's a dynamite guitarist, plays piano and is a true powerhouse as a song writer. As you hear more of Courtney, you'll realize what a truly generational talent she is. Courtney had been singing for a number of years prior, but she burst to worldwide fame when she took America's Got Talent (AGT) by storm with this performance in 2018. This audition video went viral and currently has over 1 Billion combined views. Courtney herself has well over 2 Billion on line views. She has a devoted following of millions from virtually everywhere on the globe. On AGT, Courtney focused on singing classic rock from the 60's and 70's by the likes of James Brown, Tina Turner and Janis Joplin. She literally blew the roof off of the arena with every performance. After AGT, so many who were first introduced to her there, viewed her as strictly this fabulous stage dominating rocker, which she most certainly is. However, she is so, so much more. Few realized how versatile she really was. So she then released a four song EP, where she took massive recent hits across multiple genres, totally re-invented them and created something amazing out of each of them. As an example, one of the songs on the EP was 'Lil Nas' huge record setting hit 'Old Town Road', which Courtney turned from it's original Country/Hip Hop version into a magnificent rock anthem. Another pop princess. Courtney stood her ground. Then Covid hit and shut everything down for over two years. Courtney is British and travel was completely shut down from the UK to the US (where here team was) during that time. As soon as she could, at the beginning of this year, she walked away from her label and went independent. Since that has happened, she has already dropped two incredible originals. 'Breakable', a gritty ballad and 'That Girl Don't Live Here', a jazzy uptempo song with a touch of 1940's swing, with much more to come. Courtney has a huge song library that she has developed over the last several years, which she hasn't been able to release, but she has shared many, in whole or in part, with her fans, and they are incredible. She is such a powerhouse as a songwriter. Now that she is in control of her music, it is said to expect a new release approximately every month. First of all welcome aboard the cortney train as most people you were shocked to hear that from her but that's just the tip of the iceberg if you continue to react to cortney you will find that she can sing almost any genre and do it better than some of the so called stars of today there are so many videos for you to check out on her i will leave others to inform you of them but I'm sure you will enjoy the ride
I one thousand percent agree with you on that one, and from such a young age too. That song she covered of Adele at 9 or 10 years old is a chefs kiss performance. Someone that young should not be able to do that, but her performance was flawless.
I was glad to hear you explain how many artists can express themselves better through their medium than in conversation. There were actually clueless viewers who could not understand that and accused her of faking being nervous or shy! You will not find a more unique and exciting rising star than Courtney Hadwin if you keep reacting to her.
