Don’t do anything to this song...just release it. It’s perfect. And as for not releasing because it’s a cover...it is so powerful NO-ONE hears cover. We just hear a pure, raw, honest heart. And this is what people want... not entertainment.
Iits easy for us to aak her to release this song. However, it wasn't that easy. Aside of copyrights and label difference, Courtney will surely have respect for Miss Li as one of her mentor in song writing. So surely she will not act without Miss Li's permission and blessing.
OMG!!! So, so good. I mean I think Miss Li's original is great (especially a couple of the versions she did live). But Courtney simply takes it to a whole different level. Totally agree. This should be released, "Pretty Little Thing" should be released (& pretty much anything Courtney's done over the last year and a half) because every time we get a glimpse of what she's been working on, the music is inevitably "off the charts" good.

Courtney, your ability to move from one voice to another in this song is truly amazing. The contrast between your bluesy voice and your Joplin voice is striking and you do it effortlessly - wow! And, BTW, we love both!

I've heard so many really, REALLY good Courtney pieces the past few years which is why it's saying a lot when I state that this may be the best song I've ever heard her sing. That she did this at around 14-years of age just blows my mind! It's hard to wrap my mind around how much better this young lady is gonna get because she's already performing at a world class level. This kind of sing is my favorite from Courtney. It is the most powerful and unique way that impresses the heck out of me. I hope to hear a lot of this style singing on her album. Darn I missed the live stream. Her voice sounds seasoned and mature and yet she's just a little kid (I'm 60 so she's closer to my grandkids age then my own kids). She has all the makings of a future legend.

I am so SO excited for her future. I wonder if for her career this pandemic may of actually helped her. She's had time to write more original content, study her idols more, and better plan. I'll still never forget her jaw-dropping breakthrough AGT Hard to Handle performance. And her Pretty Little Thing original is simply scratching the surface of her originals potential.

i will not say a word of praise about Courtney's voice. Whatever I say is too little, it is insufficient and there are no words to describe its power and greatness. You just have to listen, to let go and her voice will express it all on its own.

@Granypanies My guess, GP, is that her management isn't promoting her on talk shows because Courtney has still not come out with her own original music. True that she's sung a couple of originals on her live streams, but none that were completely finished. Plus, with new management, they are working on lots of new music. I expect that they will release this newer, "new music" early in 2021. That's when they'll start to promote her. With respect to talk shows, the people that are invited on them normally have already made a splash in the entertainment world. So, Courtney's new music will have to make some noise on the music charts before she gets invited, not the other way around. That's when (when her new music is released) her management AND her fans (you and I) will have to push hard to promote her new music and help get it to go viral. CAN'T WAIT!!!
