Hey HAP, you asked how she maintains her breath control while singing. Well she just uploaded a 3+ hour live chat last week and she showed how she practices all her singing exercises and routines for 30 minutes of it. She actually jogs in place in her room while practice her singing exercises. Now that's something I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing before.

Courtney said in a few interviews when asked about her dance moves, weather she has it choreographed. Her reply was, " that she has an idea of what she wants to do, but she doesn't have a set plan." That she basically just wings it when she gets on stage. What many of us older folk would call freelance dancing. "Just do it" is a great phrase for what she does. Whatever she feels at the moment is what happens. As for why Mel B said "Screw them", she wants tickets to her shows, after Courtney said "People don't get her", when she was on Voice Kids UK she didn't go over well like on AGT and got bothered/bullied by kids from school about her singing and dancing weird. She also got a real lot of hate when she was on AGT after this performance and going forward on this show. Courtney handled herself very well when the comments kept coming at her even from many Adults about her faking the shyness and claiming she couldn't sing. They should be ashamed of themselves if they are watching now. As for Simon wanting to start a record label with Howie, that was kinda funny coming from his mouth, as he signed her months after this show along with Arista Records who is owned by Sony Music. Whenever you get to watch her performances on The Voice Kids UK 1st season you'll see how Courtney got started in this type of music. She was strictly a ballad type singer when she was 9 -11. She also said in interviews, "That once she saw James Brown on RU-vid it changed her life." She just kept watching more and more old school music videos and decided she would perform some of these classics. As an 11 or 12 then, to like this style in a world where it's all about hiphop and pop ballads etc, is pretty wild to see. But to see her do it as good or better than most of the artists back in the day is even more wild. She gets today's generation to like this music and how she entertains everyone. She's only 16 now, what happens when she's in her 20's. It's going to be fun following her. What many fans like about Courtney besides her singing, is she's a young lady who knows what direction she's going and nothing will stop her. She's down to earth, yet she's a rebel who won't be persuaded to conform like so many have. She sings all styles of music including today's but does it her own way with a Courtney twist, always. There is so much to tell about Courtney. This is why I think she's so interesting to find out about. I could easily see a book and movie written about her one day when she makes it big. She's a fighter and very determined.

MY GOODNESS COURTNEY HADWIN. IS LIKE AN EXPLOSION OF ENERGY!! VERY UNIQUELY TALENTED. THE WAY SHE USES HER BODY, ESPECIALLY HER LEGS TWISTING AND MOVING AROUND IS INCREDIBLE. (I WOULD BREAK SOMETHING, FOR SURE, DOING THAT)! I LIKED YOUR ANOLOGY OF COURTNEY BEING LIKE A SPLASH OF COLOR PAINT TO A BLANK WALL. SHE DOES HAVE THAT IMPACT! SHE HAS HER OWN SPECIAL WAY OF EXPRESSING HERSELF ON STAGE.,FOR SURE. AWESOME REACTION HAP TO A AWESOME TALENT! ❤💃🎶

Hi. Courtney is such a breath of fresh air being infused into the music world. It is such a delight to watch her perform and she can dominate a stage like no other. Courtney has said that when she performs, she has a general idea of what she wants to do but she lets the music move her and, often heads in a different direction than planned. I think that may be why Courtney is so spectacular as an artist and performer. The passion that she expresses comes from somewhere deep within in her and is very real and authentic. When Courtney performed her incredible AGT audition, what she did was so unexpected. For this performance, every one knew what to expect and she delivered with this sensational performance. Other commenters have let you know that Courtney’s next AGT performance was ‘Born to be Wild’ and guided you to Her YT channel. One of the things that separates Courtney from other performers is her range and vocal versatility across so many genres. As you see more of Courtney, that will be one of the things you will discover. So far, you’ve barely scratched the surface on Courtney’s abilities. Very much looking forward to more.

Really nice analytical reaction! This was Courtney's first live performance, so just think.. a 14 year old on network TV in a foreign country.. and she pulls out this performance.. "Incredible" as Simon says. Thanks for reminding me of this occasion HAP3SPEAKZ!

One of these days I'm gonna be the first comment! Everything that Bert, Ed, TC, etc said is what & who Courtney is. One thing I will say is Courtney shows so much passion, emotion and feelings when she sings that she draws you in to feel those same things. She touches me clear to my soul like no other artist has ever done. Courtney is the best thing that's happened to the music industry in a very very long time. Thank you for another great reaction. I look forward to seeing more!

I’ve been following her since she shocked me on her AGT audition. There are many performances by her on RU-vid. All the way back to when she was 9 or 10. Since you saw her first two performances on AGT you might as well keep them in order. Tha next was Born to be Wild ( Steppenwolf ) and on the finaile she sang River Deep Mountain High ( Tina Turner ) She’s a born entertainer and I love her!

Great reaction, Hap! You made several salient comments, but perhaps the most insightful was that Courtney smashed the status quo (and your example with the paint). There are many quality descriptors for Courtney, but, in the end and taken together, she is a unique package separating her from other performers and propelling her to superstardom. I look forward to your future reactions to Courtney, who demonstrates her creative take on multiple genres, onstage or not. But she does show her best dominance when she is ON the stage and OWNS the stage!

I was one of those who told I'm being patient but you please get back to Courtney again. She has so many other videos that show how diverse she really is. I think because she got her recognition on AGT over 2 1/2 year ago and went super mega viral (4th most view audition ever on that show), that those who loved that experience she gave everyone have moved on to more recent artists. But there's so many lurking waiting for Covid to allow her to get back on stage and also release her new original music. What I'm really trying to say is please react to more of her videos because you've barely touched the surface of what Courtney has to offer. When on AGT and The Voice Kids Courtney let everyone see her RnB and classic Rock n Roll side to her, where she takes over a stage and sings like the old school rockers (Who are still rocking the world today in their 60's and 70's, which is amazing to me). You made the comment how she absorbs what she hears and then expresses that as an artist. And I'd say you nailed that. Courtney is a sponge who hears something she likes and then morphs what she hears into her own version of most every song she performs. She's a rare bread in today's world, where most other singer just sing a cover and pretty much do it well. Courtney doesn't just sing a cover. She makes those covers a new song. And when giving the opportunity to do it on stage, she makes you want to get up on stage with her. She so much fun as an artist to watch. And watching her on her live chats she's just as much fun and entertaining to hear and see her be herself having fun. A real down to earth everyday 16 year old. Some new to her watching any performance she did on AGT and Voice Kids will think she great at this style but she won't get the attention because she only sings one style (old school). This is why I ask for more Courtney reactions more often. People move on quickly these days. Courtney can sing ballads too like no one else does today. Her vocals are so true and raw, yet well trained for doing ballads and other genres. She's got that voice when you hear it makes you go Wooow, who is that singing. Very special. After looking at your playlist I realized how much you have to look forward too. I'm going to give another request for a ballad this time. Her channel hear ru-vid.comvideos give a wide variety of her Styles. "Someone you love" by Lewis Capaldi was a studio cover she did a year after AGT. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eR9UxcsjUSM.html It's a little more recent that you wanted to look into. A good change up to check out.

Thanks for taking the time. Yes I am doing what I can. What I don't do is react to a few "big hits" and move on. Once I am go exploring... its a journey we both share. Of course it only continues if there is an audience to receive it. I got your suggestion and will do them as and when the time comes. Cheers Bert.

LOVE your reactions, HAP3SPEAKZ! In her earlier talent show participation, Voice Kids UK, she stated she learned her dance moves from watching James Brown's (author of Papa's Got A Brand New Bag) quirky-cool dancing on YT. She said she couldn't quite do his moves, so made up some of it. Basically, she "Courterized" his dancing, just like she "Courterizes" everyone's singing. Great point that she interprets music differently from everyone else. In short, she, again, "Courterizes" music (thanks for the term, Darren!). She's definitely introverted off-stage around people she doesn't know but turns into a lioness once the music begins. She's very similar to other performers, like Michael Jackson, Prince, etc., who were always, a bit shy, off-stage and then completely transformed into some of the best-ever performers once the music began. As a next step, I'd suggest that you listen to any of a set of four cover songs Courtney released last year on all music services, from her "Cover Sessions" album. She recorded all four songs live on video which made her performances that much better. Feel free to choose which ever of these four songs you like most: 1.) 🔥 SIGN OF THE TIMES (Harry Styles), 2.) 🔥 SOMEONE YOU LOVED (Lewis Capaldi), 3.)🔥 SUCKER (Jonas Brothers) and 4.) 🔥 Old Town Road (Lil Nas X). Are you ready for another Courtney Hadwin reaction video? Yes? So are we. lol. My friendly reminder, today is one month from the last one. I know I'm impatient. But it's our job as viewers to help remind you. I watch many of your reactions. I may not comment to them all, except for my favorite artists today, but I pay attention. Courtney and Liliac are keeping my kind of music relevant today, so I have to do my part to help that along. All my older favorite artist have mad their mark and will never be forgotten by my generation. This generation, if they are open to all kinds of music should at least get exposure to good old style rock and also the unique voices both Courtney and Liliac have to offer. Reactions help that along. Most anyone who hears these kids for a 1st time will gravitate to the fun their music gives to us. Here's Courtney's channel again for just a few other videos you haven't reacted to yet. There's plenty others, but for now this gives her studio covers. ru-vid.comvideos

@@anonymousjones5084 yeahbut it's even better than that, SHE STUDIED THE SAME GREAT PERFORMERS that Mick Jagger, the Beatles, and so many others observed and learned from. She just did it half a century later watching those vintage performances from 1950's and 60's here on RU-vid. This young rockstar went back to THE ROOTS of modern music. She and Angelina Jordan both went back to study OLD SCHOOL music and musicians before they got past being tweens. Incredible!
