Every time I listen to her sing it gives me goosebumps. How are there people that don’t appreciate her style?!?! I feel like I traveled back in time and am watching a future rock legend.
Because SOME people have different taste. In my opinion, I think she is just forcing herself too hard. And those screaming bits... even I could do them (I have high pitch sound and I'm male.) She is just another typical AGT singer that might win, unfortunately. Why? WE ALREADY HAVE A BUNCH OF FUCKING SINGERS WHO ALREADY WON. Doesnt that get repititive? If she wins to Zurcaroh then the show is staged or it is just the stereotypical Americans we have 😑. Not to mention that she isnt shy. She was faking it. She was on the Voice UK (for kids). If you are a Courtney fan, I respect you but in my opinion she is NOWHERE NEAR winning the entire thing.
Because she sounds super coached into fitting the Janis Joplin style mold. She can imitate her style, and it sounds like she'd been pushed to try and sound like her. I adore Janis Joplin, and every song that this girl sings just sounds like a bad, forced imitation.

Well, Many singers don't have that natural factors which could drive them to become a rockstar(which is also one of the many reasons that singers get into a softer or pop genres) Rock and Metal genres was always on the top range of the music industry coz the pop or the country singers couldn't deliver the same vocal range like the Metal/Rock singers.
Not only does she have the power vocals, she has the personality to back them up. She is unafraid to get up on that stage and perform what she wants to perform, and how she wants to perform it. She's truly special.

that doesnt mean your not shy. There are MANY famous musicians who hate doing interviews, who hate talking in front of people, but feel right at home on stage singing. Ill name one I know you know, Michael Jackson, who HATED doing interviews and was reclusive but came alive on stage. Theres many many more who say they are shy in person. Sometimes music changes a person and allows them to fully open up. I dont think shes lying just because she goes on contest shows.

As I recall, Grace was seen shaking backstage before her audition because of nerves and Darci said she came close to throwing up before going on stage each time. Being nervous/shy is fine, even the best have butterflies sometimes, it's how you handle it that matters.
I can't get enough of this girl! She's so young yet when makes every song HER SONG, the way she comes alive when she's performing embodies everything that's intangible about the power of music. I can't wait to see her change the world in her own way.

I wish she could release her music totally independent of the big labels and stay in control of her look song choice, interviews, tours, and image. But hopefully she will get bosses that care more about the music and less about the money and fake images, the money will come just let her be herself.

She was my pick to win the 1st time I heard her sing, she seems to have the entire package, she is cute, sings great, she is humble, she is a little quirky in her dance moves but that only adds to her charm, she has great stage presence as well, not to mention she sings some old rock songs.

The thing I love most about this young talent isn't who she sounds like, or what generation she comes from, or how she looks when she dances. I think her talent that reminds me most of the old days when rock and roll was all about the music is in her ability to draw her audience right onto the stage with her. All the light shows and spectacular gymnastics that constitutes the concerts that are the present day of entertainment are no match for the intimacy that rocked the stage in yesteryear. The spectacular events of concerts today are seductive ... no doubt. But Courtney has a special talent in that she draws people in without all the bright lights. She's all about the music and how to sing it old school. I hope she wins.
Courtney Hadwin is...... Real and Organic, Engaging and Captivating, but most of all FUN! Basically she is real and not overly synchronized and choreographed to the point where sh cannot be herself and it throws everything off, she is able to be analogue in this digital world she can be a knob in a world of up and down volume adjusters. She can get in between the fm digital radio 0 and 1 numbers and find new musical nirvana stations never heard on the all digital front. If she does not want to do that move on that word on that beat she has the freedom and will to do something else and the audience gets it's as we have had to much of the perfect sync, totally predictable performances. We want some down home soul, funk, rock, pop, RNB, Heavy Metal, Classics, and modern music, done live with passion and freedom for the artist to go off script a little if they want.

Courtney is a performer, she is dynamic and is not afraid to stick to her guns. It's ok to not get her or not like her style but what I don't "get" is why the trolls feel that it's ok to attack her on social media. The very fact that she is into this style of music doesn't hold back the complete authenticity of her performance. It's great and unique. People feel that as they did with James Brown, Elvis Presley, Mick Jagger, Grace Jones, Janis Joplin to name just a few.
