This is a great reaction. I am a proud Courtney Hadwin addict and have been for some time now. Us As (Courtney Hadwin Addicts) have marveled at this super talent. As she came up through UK the Voice Kids, and America's Got Talent the most common description you hear is "rockstar" or "super star". She was 12 on UK the Voice Kids, 13 when she did America's got talent, 14 when she did her cover songs, and now she's about to be 19. Her two new original songs, Breakable and This Girl Don't Live Here Anymore are not just amazing songs with an amazing voice, they are biographical. In Breakable she tells about all the drama and trauma of her record company experience and in This Girl Don't Live Here Anymore she telling us not to expect the 13 year old Courtney; things change and so does she. It all sounds soulful and honest because it is. By the way, at the start of this video as you were reading off some of Courtney's titles you mentioned Old Town Road and mused that she might do it her own way. Truer words were never spoken. As with everything Courtney sings it has her own personal, orginal stamp. I'd love to hear your reaction to that song. Another Courtney original is called Pretty Little Thing in which Courtney blows the doors off the place and it's well worth your taking a listen. Every time you react to Courtney you're come to find me, and a whole lot of others here, pulling up a chair and experience her music with you. Finally, I think your analysis of this song is right on point; you really get her. Another listen or two and you'll become a CHA too.
I want to read your comment slowly so i can take in everything you say but thank you fior saying "great reaction." Tonight I am going to react to a bunch of Courtney Hadwin, any suggestions.? Peace and Love! Brett
@@HarmonyandHeadlockReactions Hi. As I mentioned in my comment, you really should give a listen to Old Town Road; what Courtney does with it is really special. You'll have a lot to say about it I'm sure. I'd also suggest you check out her other songs from her Covers record; Someone You Loved and Sucker are great songs too. Of course you must listen to her AGT audition which she did when she was just 13. When you do listen, be sure your floor is clean because you chin will be on it. Really love what you do and I've subscribed and put on the alarm. Don't want to miss anything you've got to say.
@The Peace and Love Reaction Channel Good choice, but then to see what gave Courtney her big spotlight you need to see her all-time top 4 (maybe higher now) 2018 AGT full audition with judges' reactions. Courtney has had over 500 million (maybe 600 by now) total views of that. She truly was socially shy then, until she sang. Other comments have given you more information, but it's not just about poor treatment by music labels. The pandemic, personal and family issues have helped delay the impact she is just starting to make on the music scene. Courtney co-wrote That Girl Don't Live Here and Breakable with veteran songwriter Kevin Bowe, whom you may know. I'm a physician by trade and musician on the side with a few Spotify recordings and have been around long enough to have personally experienced many of the greats since the 1950's, and Courtney is unique enough to be right there with them! Great reaction, by the way, and I will be looking for many more!
Hi. Really great to see you back doing a Courtney reaction. So much to unwind about this reaction. First off, you might want to change the title of the reaction because you're not reacting to 'Breakable' but 'That Girl Don't Live Here'. I looked at your video history and thought you had reacted more to Courtney in the past, but maybe you had done it under another channel name. What I got from listening to you is that you really don't know very much about Courtney, so a little background. Courtney rose to world wide fame when she appeared on the 2018 season of America's Got Talent. Her audition went viral and now has over 500M on-line views. Courtney herself has over two billion views. On AGT, she sang exclusively classic rock from the 60's and 70's and showed how she can totally dominate a stage. However, those that know her only from AGT, assume that she is only this fabulous rocker, but she actually has one of the most beautiful and versatile voices we've seen in forever and it's the reason that so many of us who follower her think she is truly a generational level talent. She sings R&B, Funk, Soul and Ballads as well as Rock and the thing is, no matter the genre, there never is any drop off in the incredible quality of her vocals or her music. Every singer has a comfort zone, but we haven't seen the limits of Courtney's as of yet. She even had an opera clip go viral. Immediately after AGT, she was signed by Syco/Arista records (Sony Music). A lot of things happened to prevent her releasing her original music including the label being sold and, of course, all of the lock downs and travel bans related to Covid, but basically for the last four plus years, the labels have tried to twist Courtney into something she didn't want to be. Courtney stood her ground and said 'No'. Finally when she was able to, she walked away from her label and went independent. Now that Courtney has control over her music, in the last couple of months, Courtney has achieved what the labels couldn't in years, and released two original songs. This uptempo masterpiece that you just reacted to and a beautiful ballad called 'Breakable' which you really need to hear and react to. It's a gorgeous piece of music (Link is below). This song is so incredibly great. Such a vibe. I don't know how anyone can listen to this song and not be bopping and moving along with it. The song simply demands it. You mentioned the great hook and how after just one listen, you just can't help wanting to sing with it. It gets so stuck in your head. Add to the greatness of the song and it's vibe, with absolutely brilliant lyrics and you have a classic. Only Courtney could have pulled off this song the way she did. Not only is the song fabulous, but the video is a work of art and perfect for the song. IMO, I think there are a number of messages in both the song and the video here. First, Courtney is singing about, among other things, no longer being that 13 year old girl everyone fell in love with on AGT, and which a core group of fans want her to remain, which of course is impossible. Courtney, with her incredible creativity, used that theme to drive the video, in such a unique way. Old/young Courtney sees new/current Courtney and follows her through the closet/looking glass into a whole new world, in this case Wonderland. Secondly, it is only my interpretation, but at the beginning of the video, when someone comes to the door asking her to sign something and she turns them away, this represents the labels, with whom she is done with. Lastly when the paprazzi comes and she shuts the door on them, it is Courtney saying that releasing the kind of music she loves is more important than all of the possible fame, if she has to sell out to get it. Courtney has a huge library of originals that she has written over the last few years, which she hasn't been able to release. She has shared many of those originals, in whole or in part, with her fans, mostly over live chats on social media and everything she has shared has been sensational. She is a true powerhouse as a song writer. Now that she is setting the agenda, it has been said to expect a new release approximately every month. So buckle your seat belt, it's going to be a wild ride. I think you're going to be very busy and I can't wait to hear you doing many more future reactions to Courtney's own material. Brief history on Courtney so you understand the context of this song and "Breakable" ( in case you listen to that one too). Courtney had issues with her old Label who for some reason wanted to change her from what makes her so damn good. They never released any of the songs she recording with them. As of January this year Courtney is now independent and releasing her own music one song/month at a time she said. She's done more in these past 3 1/2 months than Sony/Arista Records did do in 4 years with her. The lyrics of both songs talks about that time period under their control. But if you don't know her history behind that, you probably would not know it. The meaning of each song can be interpreted differently by casual listeners, but their is message about how her label fucked up. Courtney has taken many songs and reinvented them to a song she would have written differently for the most part. So when you mentioned "Old Town Road" and said "She may have done it differently. you don't know how right you were. Give it a go. But 1st to help promote Courtney's new music I hope you take time to react to her 1st release "Breakable" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DOjyS5w1Ono.html which is a ballad and quite different from what Courtney's famous for, but the lyrics tells the story behind her experiences with the music industry.

@@terryengland1880 Hey Terry, I'm with you on that. But from what Courtney has said a few times on her live chats, is that her and her team felt it was too poppish and they chose not to release it. I really don't know why they felt that though. Seemed pretty rockish to me.
This song .. Breakable and some others have been done with producer Kevin Bowe. Video was filmed in Spain. It is already getting some radio play in the UK. Cool ...uptempo "Courterized Swing " vibe.😁 Word you're looking for when Courtney grabs your musical soul is Courterized 😁

Yes, me too! I can't help but feel privileged to have had the opportunity to witness her growth as a child as a singer as a performer and as a virtuoso musical genius. For me Courtney has made such a distinction between what she does and what others do 'sing a song'. Courtney has to be 'experienced' like a an 'event' and 'remembered' like a classic or a jazz moment that defined the genre. She has an energy that attracts and draws out sparks from our feet our hands our smile our eyes our hair our hearts who thought that all of this was in our rear view mirror. Courtney might well become the most prolific artist in musical history just by living up to her own requirements who doesn't need pushing but who won't be held back. Age is a fact of nature but age seems not to be a factor in Courtney's musical intentions. What wonderful treats we have coming ❤❤❤❤😊

@@HarmonyandHeadlockReactions Oh, yeah, you ain't seen "Old Town Road" done like this before. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-anwtg4C0PTc.html
Courtney is an amazing artist. She is going to turn 19 this year, but she has had a powerful voice since she was 10 years old. She has been mainly known as a cover artist, but sings in many cases well beyond the original versions. This is the performance that gave her an international fan-base, her AGT Audition in 2018, she was 13 at the time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zxe3KxHWikM.html When she was 11, she could out sing Adele, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WXEgQBOXnNo.html And she could also sing at the level of Etta James, the Jazz singer, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3yAjBJoo6Dg.html And, sometimes, she mixes up the genres of the songs too. Here's her version of What's Love Got To Do With It, the 80s Rock song by Tina Turner, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wPYeT5xmGbg.html. She performed in 2021, during a COVID lockdown. Her version of Old Town Road, which you passed over, and I am not being biased here, is far superior to the original. I've linked it here, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-anwtg4C0PTc.html. You should seriously check it out. Not only does she do covers, she writes songs well beyond her years. Back in 2020, during a COVID lockdown, she wrote a song called Good Old Days, Check it out here, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7iHVOmNONrA.html. Hello and welcome to the world by Courtney Hadwin. Hope you will make more reactions from her. And as you say Radio doesn't play songs that are different they only play stuff that sounds the same. You mentioned why everyone does the "Old Time Road" most of us can probably agree with why. But you should listen to it because it's completely redone by Courtney and goes in Rock style. This video was made in Malaga Spain Courtney is a very talented songwriter, both music and lyrics. The two songs she released she wrote together with Kevin Bowe.
