_______________
The judge in the Jason Meade murder case announced a mistrial Friday, then, minutes later, overruled himself and sent the jurors back to deliberate.
Judge David Young announced his initial ruling of a mistrial at about 11:20 a.m. Friday. He then changed his mind and allowed the 12-person panel to go back and resume deliberations in the high-profile case of a law enforcement officer shooting and killing a Black man.

And as soon as he's declared guilty his defence attorneys will go to the appeals courts with a smile on their faces.

I have experienced FIRSTHAND how the Justice system "Really" works- Law Enforcment, Prosecutors AND the Judges- are like a family. They protect eachother as best that they can, even if they are totally guilty and they cannot avoid being prosecuted due to a multitude of evidence against the Officer...by handing out the lowest sentence possible by law. When I was 17 years old, I was on trial for Assault with deadly weapon...my grandmother was at court for me. We deliberated for lunch one day- downstairs is a cafateria where lawyers & prosecutors eat....TOGETHER! My grandmother decided to eat there so she would not lose her parking spot. She inadvertantly/accidently sat down at the table next to MY Public defender....who was lunching with MY prosecutor! They didnt know my Grandmother. My grandmother was surprised when she heard my name and realized they were talking about ME! The two of them were talking about ,"If the public defender got me to take a plea bargain- then the prosecuter would give him a favorable deal on another case he needed that had overwhelming evidence against his other client" she said the both of them were treating our cases " Like trading baseball cards " to further eachothers careers! Thats how our Justice system really works if you cant afford a paid attourney! Truth. They are all FRIENDS.

You watched too many movies that are fiction. The courts get it right most of the time but not all the time. Nothing is perfect.

I love how the description says "black man" not "man" or "innocent man". As if it would ever say "Hispanic man" "Asian American man" "native american man" or "white man". That low key segregation they are tricked into appreciating is crazy.

Many more black men are killed by police than any other ethnicity, so it's a relevant title.

WOW that's a rollercoaster ride and everyone wants off. Declaring a Mistrial, speak to the jury, okay meat's back on the menu boys! Can't wait to find out if a higher court might see that Mistrial as written in stone a little more than the Judge. I'm appealing immediately!

He thought you was getting away with murder. But you're not, you know, you shut that boy, and he did not know God, that man is a young man. I'm not a boy, no more young man. He shouted shouting in the back 5 times shouting one other time in his buttocks. And you know that you were found guilty. But the jury just couldn't find one I know it was something wrong with the jury and i hope they find a real good jury this time and convict you with something. You shouldn't be getting away with nothing

Evidence speaks for itself most of the time when presented and you have a good jury if you are lucky they will get it right. Can't reach a verdict? Gave it two chances. Mistrial. Right call. And i believe Mr.Meade told the truth.

This is the strangest case I've ever seen, but I will say that I hope the prosecution gets a conviction and the family has bad luck with the wherewithal they'll receive for double crossing Casey Goodson Jr...there's more to this story than we think..but the hvac/p I undercover and the family dodged a bullet..how ironic..

The punk Goodson who lived to wave hand guns in public while driving down the road and too stupid to remove his earbuds when the cops are breathing down his back. A responsible gun owner. Glad to see the officer freed.

I want to see this one myself. Did the judge just off-hand mention that he WOULD do a mistrial and then came back with a different decision, or did he really openly declare a mistrial (usually that ends the entire proceeding, doesn't it?) and change him mind like a good liberal judge who makes his decisions by his current "feelings" like the one in NY said that Trump is appealing right now? Which is it?

The Floyd trial had badly tainted jury. The threat of violence prevailed. Even though it was proven that Floyd died from cardiac arrest due to several factors and not asphyxia. The prevention of violence is worth sacrificing innocent people to jail time.
