IMO it’s like comparing apples to oranges. Adam and Leona were performing at a Country Music Awards show I believe and therefore their version was less emotional and suited the show and the original performers that’s were present. Harry’s version is an emotional acoustic version. Adam Lambert has a phenomenal voice and can sing emotionally as well. Check out his performance of Believe at the Kennedy Center Honors as a tribute to Cher. Amazing performance. I enjoyed your reaction and your emotions. Best of luck with your channel.
They both are amazing! But Harry’s feels warmer to me if that makes sense. Maybe it’s his vocal tone and the instrumentation (particularly Mitch). Harry’s styles of music is much more my bias and preference though so to each their own. They were both amazing and owned the style they chose
I came back to recommend Adam's most emotional performance (to me) is when Queen and Adam Lambert performed Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight festival. It was the night after the shooting at The Pulse nightclub in Orlando Florida and he dedicated it to them and others that had been victims of senseless violence and hatred. I've it a number of times and I still cry. Roger Taylor (Queen's drummer) said he had never heard it sung like that before and Brian May (guitar and wrote the song) said he will be playing and Adam hits a note and he forgets to play he just goes wow.
Harry’s version is far better in my opinion. When he sings a cover he never changes the words of the song. He sings it the way it is written not anything to do with any fandom fabrications.
You HAVE to see Adam doing "Who wants to live forever" in 2016 at the Isle of White concert and also a few weeks ago, he did a spontaneous "Nessun Dorma" in Bologna Italy. Both with Queen and both brilliant! "Who wants to live forever" is almost a guaranteed cry!
Adam and Leona performed this at the CMT awards- not a personal concert/performance. I think that’s a big difference in venues & atmospheres. They were just standing in because one of the members of Little Bigtown couldn’t be there to perform. So more of a tribute to the original performers. Harry’s was done at his own concert- so it’s gonna be all about him and his interpretation. He would have the freedom to perform it totally as he wants. Adams vocals are immaculate💚
First I just want to say you look amazing and the vibe you send through the screen is just beautiful! Second i love adam he has a verry good voice and can do things with it thats beyond the rainbow. They put in a jazz vibe and sang the song very technical, like 'look what we can do so easily'. Harrys version is raw, genuin and doesnt try to show off, he sings from the heart, it is so sincere and honest. He owns this song like its vere his own!
Harry has this gift to put meaning into what he says or sings. It's no about vocals or stage presence, you just GET what the song was trying to tell you when he sings it. And he makes all songs relatable this way. I've noticed it since 1D's X Factor performances, he had since very beginning😍

i could be a bit biased just because i love harry but even tho the first one was good, harry’s is just so much more raw and personal to me. he gives so much emotion to the song instead of doing a run every five seconds
I liked Adam's version until Leona came out, she ruined it for me, i just didn't feel any emotion from her. Harry's has become my favorite version of the song. Thanks for doing this.
I totally agree with you about Harry’s version. And I am a huge Adam fan, but I didn’t feel like this was the song that highlighted his voice or his emotional pole. For Harry to even make the choice to do this song and leave all the words the same and the pronouns it is so real. The emotion that just flows through his voice can’t help but affect you and tell the real story behind the song. And I hear it from his perspective was just too real. I love that lower register in the beginning and with him playing at the guitar brought in such a sweet movement that you could sway to and it got me in my gut. So congratulations I think you made the right decision. Great job
First time listening to Adam Lambert and wow, I was shocked. They are soo talented and amazing along with Leona, so great. I've heard Harry's version before and Adam gave me that exact feeling, the goosebumbs, and shock😭❤
Everything I have seen Adam Lambert sing has been incredible. He makes it look so easy! If you haven't seen him sing opera he surprised the crowd at the Queen and Adam Lambert shows in Bologna Italy recently singing Nessun Dorma. It's amazing! Less than 2 minutes of yeah Adam! I'm so excited my kids got me a ticket for his show in October!

There is fan footage of him performing it on tour, in Japan I think, where he does it on his own just playing guitar but without a microphone to a silent audience and that gices me chills every time. Hi you should watch nct doyoung’s covers of ariana’s breathin, billie eillish’s idontwannabeuanymore and bazzi’s mine and include him in a cover battle. they’re really good and sometimes he rearranged the song to put in highlight moments. i think you’ll love him
listening it back, I like Leona and Adam's version way less. They're famous for vocal gymnastics but they're usually able to add real emotion to it and that's why I usually like their performances. They overdid it with adlibs and improvs imo, Leona almost never hit an original mote, hovering in the harmonies around them masterfully but it took away the essence of he song for me. And my real issue is that it wasn't actually a duet, they sang together 1 phrase. I love it when artist blend more tbh, this was just full of self-admiration to me. Harry's performance always hits right in the feels, and this was one of the best ones. Somebody said e sang too slow and low and it made hem sleepy - well, too bad, you've missed the point but whatever)) He made the song the way he wanted it to sound and millions of views with almost 700K likes say that version wasn't a waste of time)
Adam and Leona were asked to perform the song due to a death in the family of an LBT band member. They postponed their engagements in other parts of the US to attend the CMT Awards. The moment was a very sad tribute, the candles were burning and all your self-admiration crap seems completely out of context. All the top country stars were in attendance and applauded the performance, which was so impressive that it was nominated for Best Performance at the next CMT Awards. I don't understand why problematic vocal technique has to be "justified" with vocal type, and why the minority of artists in pop music who have exceptional vocal skills and perfect control are constantly belittled. Adam is considered by many to be technically the best male vocalist in the world today, so I prefer his interpretation...
You can compare this performances, totally different and you dont included the original version. Adam is the most amazing singer of this planet, so there is no one to really compared.

First of all, I gotta say that Adam Lambert can sing anything!!! So powerful voice! I'm his fan since 2009! But, Harry sing this song with MORE passion and sadness, because he has experienced this feeling. He always cover the songs that is from a woman point of view! That he suffers watching his love man to be with a woman, just because it was out of the rule being in love with another man. 💙💚
that's just a theory about Harry and I think it's increddibly deluded but it doesn't mean he doesn't sing from a personal experience. Styles sang the song too slow and the low parts were hard to hear. I practically feel asleep listening to his version. Leona and Adam were 10 times better than styles.
I feel Adam and Leona sang this much better. It has so much more meaning when it is presented as a duet. I loveHarry, but the notes sounded too forced, not well supported and I lost the meaning of the song!
it's quite the opposite he sounded amazing and very well supported. He just has a baritone tembre with a tenor's range, so his higher mixed notes sound like belting which is not the case and he wasn't forcing it, it's emotion, not a struggle. I felt nothing when the "duet" sang it, mainly because there was too much self-admiration in their adlibs and they did not convey the message at all even though they sounded well. Plus, they sang 1 phrase together that's hardly a duet in the meaning I usually put into this word
