Covering and winterizing a dog door

Covering up the doggy door! There's too much cold air coming in through the dog door and I want better insulation for my house, so sealing up that door is what I am going to do.
Watch as install a insulated and hopefully well winterized cover for the old pup door.
What I needed was:
Caulking
Ply wood
Thermular insulation
paint
and of course the desire to save money on heating costs

Your dog can 100% get through that. We had the same thing with the house we bought except it was in the garage... our 90lbs golden retriever goes though with no issue at all.

I am looking to seal a cat flap but that they still can use ist. So that didn't help. Maybe a box in front what they have to pass. I don't know but at the moment it is just cold

You can't possibly expect to have a flap door your pets use while still retaining heat. Pick one

I wanna know how they got that doggy door on the door. Did they cut through the metal? Or does that door's exterior just look metal?

So it would of been cool to see your dog actually using the door. My problem is that our dog is 12 lbs so I don't think she can push out that wood paneling

He sealed it; the dog can't use it. That was his purpose.

You don't seem to understand that he demonstrated NO USE for the dog door at the start of the video. He's insulating it for a few bucks instead of replacing the entire door, just like I will be doing since we moved in and don't own a dog
