Nice video, I like watching videos that focus on the reality of life. I think looking forward and not giving the past to much weight really helps me. Nice to hear you open up and express your feeling. Take care. I love the park setting!
There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. Soren Kierkegaard, said these mighty words!
In many narcissistic families, a covert narcissist parent is partnered with an overtly abusive and neglectful one, allowing the covert to appear reasonable, selfless, easygoing, or otherwise "good" by comparison while playing up the long-suffering martyr routine. Children have no choice but to seek out whatever care-giving they can get from the less volatile parent in the home.
I've always truly believed that everything happens for a reason, and your journey just reinforces my belief. You go girl, and listen to your heart & gut.
We read up on the AKKERMANSIA, very interesting info. Did you take into account the amount of fiber you must eat on the daily? @@ValerieCarpenterLosAngeles
I've left this message several times and it keeps disappearing. We did some research on AKKER, it does require a large amount of fiber to feed it. My ? is where do you get that from if you're eating Carnivore. @@ValerieCarpenterLosAngeles
Update, went through the hernia surgery today and all is good, home and walking. Feels like I did 1000 situps today but feeling well. Thought I might be stuck in bed for a couple of days but not so. Credit to the hospital Good Shepard here near Wauconda IL, the people running and working this hospital are truly amazing.
I'm so glad you made it through the surgery with flying colors. Thank you for the update. I've heard that hernias hurt so you must be relieved to have that behind you. Glad the Doctors and Nurses took good care of you. Sending Love, Val
@@ValerieCarpenterLosAngeles Happy Thanksgiving!, Demi smartly by choice does not do outdoors (for a second or two and then launches back inside), Max outside for five or ten and then back to sleep. Nissa likes to go out in the coldest of weather but eventually makes her way back. Characters they are.. 🐱
If you've come upon this just now rather than firstly getting into a talking group about all this get into an exercise group and start looking at your diet and how you can improve and optimize your health. Irene Lyons (here on youtube) has an excellent channel with regards to regulating your nervous system which has probably been bruised and battered. I hope this makes some sense to you ♡
Good talk in the park, I enjoy the simplicity even if the subject matter is deep. We all have to over come such difficult situations in life. I hope your journey has a happy ending.
Happy New Year 2024! -13f here right now. The kitties are not going outside today and until this cold spell passes. Max and Nissa are not happy but.. 😀 Hope all is well with you and the holidays went well.
@@ValerieCarpenterLosAngelesVery sorry to hear about Emilly! It's never easy when they pass away, no Demi wants nothing to do with the outside and that is why I did not include her. In the summer she might step for 30 seconds and bolts right back inside. 😷
Glad to hear Demi is okay. I started having this knocking sound in my water pipes a few months ago and just tried to ignore it, then the instant hot water heater release valve started dripping a little. Me being me I put a bucket under the leaking water heater and went about my business. The banging pipes finally won the fight. I turned off the water and drained the air, it did work, except the toilet and washing machine were still making noise. The drip became a small stream running down the side of the house into my bucket. I decided to do a little investigation and thought maybe it's this regulator. It was. I called a plumber, the pressure coming into the house was 200. It's all taken care of now! funny thing is, the cost was the same as what I paid 21 years ago. Valerie
shame you be jealous of you compare you with your siblings and peers treat you as an extension of herself become infuriated at any perceived threat to her superiority gaslight, invalidate, or guilt-trip you violate or push your boundaries play favorites among you and your siblings expect credit and praise for raising you regularly change the topic of discussion toward herself put you down to help herself feel better
My mom has all 7 signs. It took me 20 years to know that she has always been a narcissist and she almost destroyed my life. I decided to cut off all connections with her for a few years and during that time I picked myself up gradually and put myself together. My own family is happy and my career took off without her. I'm keeping a distance from her now even though we talk a few times a year. But she traumatized my past and the wounds are hard to heal. I'm glad that I'm not treating my wife and my son the way my mom treated me.
