I love that she said, “you don’t find the tattoo beautiful anymore..”. Like she acknowledges that it was beautiful. It’s not a mistake but, change. Life is change. I love her.
I went to 5 different shops in my town and every shop told me that a cover up wasn’t possible for me. The 6th shop I walked in and was told it’s too easy to cover up what I had with what I wanted. The cover up turned out great and I am now in the process of getting full sleeves with the artist.
@Say What? "Who says this is art?" A: The millions of ppl that either; get, appreciate or tattoo! It doesnt have to be for you. And to basically say all ppl w tats are ugly, makes you sound ugly as well. Some ppl see tattoos as therapy. Humbly dislike your comment. To each their own!
This was very comforting to watch as I’m looking into a cover up and my tattoo is very dark and I was really worried there was nothing that could be done so this was a relief to watch now it’s just finding an artist in my area as amazing as you ! I’m gonna take my time and really look . I learned my lesson .
IsSarahPi so, so true! They had an episode where someone had a medium size shoulder tattoo, and they did a terrible looking coverup which was and entire back piece...
@@miso8090 sounds like the same show 😂. There's also a 'receptionist' who doesn't actually do anything and a guy who has never washed his hair in his life and copies other artists tattoos
You seem like a great woman, who knows exactly what she is doing. I respect the fact that the first thing that you address is that the cover up should be something the client really wants.
Idk why but for me a possibility to do a cover is kind of beautiful cause it’s giving a new life by the artist It’s art and some kind of healing at the same time
You've given me hope and confidence in getting a cover up done. It really has helped to get insight from a professional so I can understand more of what to expect from getting a cover up.
While not a tattoo cover up (tat virgin), I would love to see a video about covering scars if at all possible. I know there's gray area with disclaimers and stuff. I survived an abusive relationship where there are scars that have long since healed but so I get asked about the scars a lot which I'm honest about but it makes me crazy to answer or when I feel eyes on those scars. BTW, I love your new 'do! I would love to get my first tat from you. Please keep us posted on your back if you'll need surgery.
She did a video about covering Scars before =) Every scar is different, so you need to ask her if its possible to tattoo over them (how deep they are and so on). I hope you do much better now and I wish you a beautiful future without hatred =)
@doug robertson I'm seeing one next week after 8 months of waiting for things other than "Is it cool to get a tattoo over these cigarette burns my asshole ex put out on me?" It's hard to explain to anyone face to face because it still hurts. And most derms say no ink from my experience. 🤷♀️but would be nice to get them covered so I no longer have to were sleeves, makeup that melts off or say there was "an accident" when it's actually for someone dry purposefully doing that. I don't want to see pain when I look, I want to see a reminder that I lived through it...
Im sorry for hearing that and i hope you all can tattoo on the skin if want to... But you know, im not a doctor but i once have an accident on my knee, and so new skin was borned but is very thin, it could look like i even burnt there.. So i think maybe in tattooing science it have to be certain preferible skin to tattoo on with the right amout of dermis to make ink stay?...hmmm
@@jordanvannadier2266 oh man! I'm sorry about your knee! Knees are an awful place to have pain. When you say new skin was born, do you mean they sutured you up or did you have a skin graft? My scars are on my wrist/arm on the backside. I had second degree burns and used scar away for awhile which was a miracle worker but expensive and had to wrap it up so the pads didn't fall off. There's 3 on one side and 4 on the other so I'm thinking a moderately large tat with something inspirational so I can remember I survived that awful time of my life but more importantly, I'm stronger for it. IDK if I should ask local artists or find a derm who has a tattoo since they all say ink is poisonous which is bologna to me. I just don't want my skin to rip off with the needle.
@@misfitbrit1989 oh i see, im sure you became stronger spiritualy and on your mindset, and i hope you also can be able to trust people again. But talking about the knee, so i literally did a hole where the skin is meant to stretch when you bent your leg, therefor, how could you stitch a hole?... So what this not profesional cosmetic doctor did was to cut 2 sides to make it like a long scar and he stitch it, 10 inside, 8 outside.. So at the begginning i was not able at all to bent my knee, and this place was stretching with new skin while me trying to bent it, i kind of never recovered how it was before because i dont feel the same as my other leg, at least i didnt broke a bone. So i mean my skin could be almost like a burnt i guess, like very thin skin and soft, i even think can shine lol i find it a bit strange. So the little i know about tattoos is... There is black vegetable ink, i have a tattoo like that and i dont really think thats poisonous; and the other issue is about how tattoo heals in different types of skin, like in the bending of the hands, sometimes it doesnt stays, or how is for old peoples skins... i think not staying the ink is what could happend in worst scenario, but i believe there should exist an option, go ahead and investigate, then post a pic, will be nice to see 👍
Wow! That diamond tattoo is beautiful! It took me a minute to realize I could see the old diamond under it but the reason it took so long is because it just looks like more sparkles. It's a beautiful glittering diamond
I’ve been talking to various artists about a tattoo I’d like covered and so far no one is willing to give it a shot. This video gives me hope! Just gotta keep looking 🖤
The explanation of how the ink gradually sinks into the skin and the upper part gradually dissipates and how coverup works is very enlightening! Thank you.
You can tell just how much you love what you do. Passion, skill and creativity meeting all at once. Very inspiring and beautiful work. Thank you for sharing.
My daughter got a really nice cover up done a couple months ago. She originally had a small heart tattoo done by a guy that at one time was her first. Unfortunately, he wasn't trained, he didn't know what he was doing, and they were both high!!!! She got a gorgeous Medusa tattoo cover up. The artist was very professional, clean, it took about 6 hours! It looks amazing!!❤
This was sooooooooooo helpful!!!! I’m getting a cover up done today….. well started today. I’ve picked an artist that I really trust and I’ve seen her coverup work (it’s gorgeous) but for some reason I was still really nervous about if she’d really be able to cover these two small but horrible tattoos that I have. Seeing an informative video that explains the process so well just relieved my anxiety.
I know a lot about tattoos cuz I got so many. A tattoo cover up is basically another tattoo over it. But if you want to do it right there's a lot of different things you have to know beforehand. I used to have a colts Indianapolis colts logo on my calf. It was blue and I hated it. My tattoo artist explained to me that different colors if he uses new colors he can make different colors on the tattoo go away creating a new tattoo.
Golly but you're talented. I had to pause and take in the jungle scape for a few minutes. It's so nice to see people working with things they're passionate about.
Very informative! I like this woman. Her communication skills are great and I’m an artist and a cosmetologist so I have to put my clients visions to fruition; she^ is a queen at this!
I wake up everyday looking at that awful choice in the mirror, with no hope that I can get it reasonably turned into a work of art since it's black and grey. Though this video has me in tears that I can actually get this horrible memory and anger that is reflected to me covered up. Thanks a lot for making this video, a lot of the art shown here is far more intricate than what I have myself, so I'm excited that I can have a new lease on life again.
That "hope" flawer is a katastrophe - in german = Gurke - that mean a sauer curcumber - a gerkin - that mean a real bed scratch tatu. You are great - You made a artwork aut of that !!! - 👏👏👏👍❤
You would swear that I want a tattoo or was interested in tattoo. I've watched like 4 of your videos in a row. I just like to watch people who are passionate about what they do talk about their craft.
This was so informative. I've been getting tattos for over 25 years and I am actually going today for my first session to cover up a large tribal design on my back with 2 Japanese snakes and chrysanthemums. Loved seeing how the process will work. Thank you!
Wish more artists out there were like you , so many good artists that refuse to do cover ups or work on someone else's work like they are to good for it. Had my boy pass away and now every good artist I have found won't work on his work and that's before they even see it. I have such a small piece left and to many tattoo artists think because their booked up their better than everyone, like their legs don't break like mine
Love that she actually tries to find a way to give you what you want not just what can be many blessings to you I’ve heard from can’t be covered or you should get it lasered !
I was thinking of starting a sleeve, but i have an old tattoo that I want covered up on my arm. Your video really helped me understand the process and reassured me that it can be done and the process is not as impossible as I originally imagined. Thank you so much for a very awesome and informative video!!
I definitely agree, cover ups are way less painful than laser removal. I went to 1 session and never went back! 😂 BTW you are ridiculously talented! Wow!😯
I am in NYC, love your videos. Can you do another video on cover ups. I have a huge tattoo on my ribs that I want off of my body & pretty nervous about what will go into it & how it will cover if I did do a cover. This video so far has been supper informative & really giving a lot of guidance. Please post if your ever in the states, I would love to book something with you ! I didn’t think what I have can be covered since it’s so dark, I was considering getting it removed , But your video gives me hope it can be transformed into something beautiful!
You will be the first i call😘
Hi Electric Linda. Thank you for your brilliant advice. You are an excellent artist . I love how you get the structures of the face , the realistic, life-like look so brilliantly , with perfect shading , shine , seamless transition onto background it's superior Wow ! You are an unbelievably talented tattoo artist . Wish you was in the United Kingdom. I love how committed you are to your designs & you really look after your customers. Your awesome . The advice you give in many of your video's is extremely helpful. In one of your other videos you mentioned medication, some of which can thin your blood , if I hadn't seen that I wouldn't have known ! I'm glad I seen that so thank you for the brilliant advice xx
I’ve been looking for years for someone to cover up a tattoo I have on my shoulder but I’ve never liked their work enough to feel committed to it. I’m going to have to make a trip of visiting you one day because your work is GORGEOUS I would love to see you for new tattoos too 😍 I saw you’re getting surgeries last you posted so I hope you’re doing okay and that I’ll be able to save money to travel to your shop one day!!
Your energy is amazing! I can feel it through the video! Also thank you. I'm going to cover this awful chest tat with a galaxy!! I love space so it's perfect! 🥰
Thank you for your video, I've learned so much from watching it ! My style is very different than yours (I love black work tattoos), but your work is really clean and vibrant, I have never seen anything like it in France. I just love how you try to tell a story in your designs, how you take care of your clients and how you explain everything. You seem to be really thoughtful, it's so nice :)
Wow Linda! I really enjoy watching this video. With all the pictures you show us and the examples you use to make us understand the process, it is very cool to watch. For sure, this is one of the coolest you've made. Keep on going, can't wait to see the next one. Take care!
HOLY CRAP!!!!! THE HOPE COVER UP IS ABSOLUTELY AMAAAAAAZZZZZZING LINDA!!!! FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!!! When I hit the lotto 🤣🤣 I'm booking you. Your work is absolutely amazing!
Your so talented iv been looking for two years now for my right artist to do my hand tattoo cover up and sadly i found a one but he doesnt do cover ups to then finding your stunning art and your just to far away as im in uk but i hope you succeed in all your plans as your are crazy talented lady ✍👏
Your work looks amazing. I wish you lived near me so I could have a few tattoos done. You seem very professional & a perfectionist at what you work on.
It's so nice to finally have an artist talk about these things on a professional level. I want to do a cover up for my fresh tattoo, first one and it's been two weeks and it healed really well, no pain, no scar, but I cant walk around with it on my fist for another six weeks to cover it up 😂
Next time I'm in Norway, I'm definitely gonna look this gal up. I'm sure she's booked till February, 10yrs from now, but her work is incredible. I still have relatives in Norway, so I visit at least twice a year. Hopefully this pandemic go away soon so I can go! Xoxo. Be safe!
I love seeing your process for these coverups! You've given me hope for something I have square on my forearm that I wanted to get changed and covered. I see its about at least meeting your artist with some ideas before coming in and making sure you find an artist skilled in doing coverups. Your videos are absolutely excellent.
I would say the laser maybe a little more painful but definitely a shorter amount of sitting time. After having 4 Sessions of laser tattoo removal followed by a coverup tat. I think they can go hand & hand. Which could give you as the tattoo artist even more freedom of what your doing. Especially with that speaking of using coverups being darker. I do love your optimism. 🤩😏😎 Love what your doing here and your work.
You have given me so much hope!!!!!!!!!! this is all the proof I need to show I dont have to have laser. thank you beautiful lady your my queen woohoo!
Really absolutely 💯 love HOW YOU RECOGNIZE IN SPIRIT + TRUTH. When you talk about tattooing, or life or just making conversation you are very introspective and: Think about LIFE, AND TRUTH + How your experiences in such have molded you through; HEAVENLY FATHER . Into such a well rounded thinker, artist and genuinely LOVE those you are giving advice too and how, the Words and the way you say them; In your heart and soul you want people to have great art done or good experiences. Truly can tell you want the best for people. LORD GOD HAS BLESSED YOU! . +++ .
