Recently found them randomly through spotify and quickly became a fav band, despite listening to metalcore and deathcore, I truly enjoy their style, keep up the great work guys!
I was a newbie in Toronto ,still am but it was just 3 months here in town .I was looking for gigs around and found out Chon were playing at the Mod theatre.Surprisingly Covet band started the show.I went alone there cause had no friends ,knew nobody ,still was one of the best nights of my life. Didn’t feel a slightest presence of being alone.Love from a Nepali fan :)
These peeps just played last night at The Ritz in Warren MI at the pizza show. First time seeing them or hearing them and holy shit was I blown away. I am an immediate fan. As a matter of fact, if I was a record scout I would have signed them on the spot. They deserve a lot more exposure.
Kipp Sappier I am not taking anything away from this. super talented musicians but I saw them live a few nights ago and after a few songs it gets pretty old because it all sounds alike with that said listening to the music at home is a whole different experience
I was at that show as well and they killed it. I never listened to them until that night and I was instantly hooked. I can see how some would think the songs sound similar, but honestly I wouldn't complain if they played the same song for an entire set , they are that good lol
So glad to see such a colorful pallet of emotions conveyed through musical notes. It's like I go blind and just see rainbows. Wish me luck getting people I know to appreciate this..everyones a lyric-head or needs some mindless music video to accompany what they're hearing. Rough conversation to have reminding people that the lyrics / vocals really don't matter as much if the foundation isn't already grounded there for them.
Ever since I saw you guys play the pizza show at the ritz in michigan I haven't been able to stop listening to this album. You guys are incredible, cannot wait for another album. Keep it up guys!
the random algorithm of youtube brough me here. This is so relaxing. Everything is not perfect in my life nowadays but now I'm just good, peacefull and calm. And I think this music has a big reponsability for that. Thanx
i discovered this band at a polyphia concert with my ex- it was one of our best days. we've tried so many times to make it work since we've never been happy with anyone else and it never does...this band has such a heartbreaking undertone for me
Arianna Paletta I can relate. This came out during the "golden age" of my relationship with the love of my life. It's very nostalgic despite not being that long ago, and bittersweet.
I really want to hear a version of this album with just the guitar... I imagine it would be so relaxing. As a substitute I go to Yvette Young's acoustic album lol.
Well also this album was released in December. Kevin Parker of Tame Impala released his album also called 'currents' was released in July. So their is your answer really. Googling Currents would give you tame impala instead of covet.
@ 19RocketMan96 i don't learn about new bands by google searching album names on the off chance that i'll enjoy them. how would i even know to google currents if I've never heard of it?
I don't know if its basic psychology behind the fact that I heard the live version of Charybdis first, but it's my overall favorite version of the song and favourite song in general. (It's listed under flytraptv sessions - covet. Omg watch Yvettes live performances, they fuckin kill me
Record scouts that didn't get to sign them first, lyric junkies, and babies on iPads who mash the whole screen with their little hands. Three more reasons
