An ambulance carrying a COVID-19 / Coronavirus patient is seens being escorted to the University of South Wales Hospital by an Air Ambulance Doctor. Also seen in the video are lots of Police cars Responding from South Wales Police, including a Chief Inspector's Car, Fire Engines Responding from South Wales Fire & Rescue Service, including a turnout from Merthyr Tydfil Fire station (One of the busiest in SWFRS), and other Ambulances from the Welsh Ambulance Service, including a BRAND NEW Skoda Kodiaq RRV with an awesome siren!

Is the Skoda an IRV/Area Car, or a Traffic unit? I bloody love Octavias. I have the privilege of driving a Scout 4x4 TDi DSG at work. Brilliant all round cars, and much cheaper than the equivalent Audi or VW.

Surely the Doctor would have been in the Ambulance with the Air Ambulance Paramedic driving the Audi. The Air Ambulance Doctors would not be emergency drivers anyway.

The car isnt a doctors car it's a Air ambulance car. Its one of our EMRTS cars that respond while in night or weather that the helicopter can not fly in or even if they know that location hasn't got a good landing place they will use it.

Clinicians are trained to respond on lights and sirens at increased speeds whilst ensuring the patient is safe and other clinicians are still able to treat them. Most likely there would of been a lot of people in the back trying to do stuff.

Handful of vehicles in the UK have it - funnily enough including the Wales Air Ambulance Audi in this video. Shame though it isn't used in cities like London, the Met unfortunately move further away and fit quieter sirens to their cars! 🤦‍♂️

DragonEmergencyVideos yea, it’s not many. I live in west London and have never heard ONE! Yet when I was in NY working six months ago, they were everywhere. UK sirens are old fashioned, stiff and boring. UK emergency tend to turn their sirens off stuck in traffic; whereas in the US they’ll keep blasting them until the dozy drivers move out of the way. UK is too tied down with political correctness. UK is full of shite if you ask me. USA USA USA
