@@stevejones924 yeah it's awesome. I used to be a massive X Plane fan for its realism but I honestly can't go back. Josh from Cowansim has done an amazing job and no matter what the xplane fan boys say Microsoft Flight Simulator is the far superior simulator now. I can run my G2 on high settings and have incredible scenery, awesome fps and now xplane or better physics. I can't even use my VR in xplane at the moment and it looks absolutely like last decade graphics.
Im not trying to be bossy but...making a video in VR, when we watch it, quick movements will make it almost nauseating for us..maybe try to remember that the next time mate. Im in love with that 500! Thanks, good vid otherwise! I look forward to flying her in beautiful H A W A I I !
Wasn't sure initially but the default stuff wasn't bad. But cowansims md500 and b206 for it are as good as if not better than xplane. Wana do a new video soon. Just been so busy. Will try to do one in the 500 in msfs in next few weeks.
Yea i hear you on being busy, im flat out myself, trying to get my channel going but just not getting a chance to get there, ill get there eventually lol hope they add some way to do sling loads to msfs soon would be nice to have more to do with helis in sim.
Absolutely agree. Would be amazing to have some more ops available to use the helicopter for in the sim. Give it time I'm sure we'll get alot of exciting stuff to use them for in MSFS.
I wish the xbox version was so stable...its the worst ever..I fly real heli's and was shocked they released it to xbox the way it handles. I hope it can be fixed, the 500E is one of my fav's of realtime flying.
Yeah I've heard alot about the handling on that. V2 of the cowansim 500e is really good on msfs. Pretty much matches up the xplane version of it physics wise now. That's awesome that you fly it real world. Would love to get some real stick time on one, one day.
@@spedheads5623 lost power so the video in the cyclone isn't happening sorry. I'll try to get one out once we have cleaned up the mess in the aftermath of this thing.
Rift S for recording mate. The reverb G2 is 4k but have lower fps if using recording software, otherwise i use it for flying most of the time as way more clarity for the instruments and visuals in distance.
How to record the VR view you mean? I use OBS and just record one eye view. It gets cropped obviously to make it 16:9 format but there's not really any trick to it.
@@simonclark7082 then I have to watch a video on OBS to figure it out. Your video looks almost identical to what I see in my headset which is surprising cause I can’t seem to get it like that. Thank for the OBS tip I’ll look into it. Appreciate you.
@@simonclark7082 ooh ok got it. Now I just seen one of your other comments that said the reverb G2 have FPS hills to climb so I might have some issues there because that the headset I have. That might explain why my recording is so chopping at inibuilds jfk with traffic injected. Appreciate all the info it now makes a lot of sense.
Thanks. Not yet. Will fly abit first and see what needs adjustment once I get abit used to it. Don't get to fly in the sim much at the mo so that doesn't help.
