I have been down Hwy16 many times throughout the years, it's a beautiful drive, but I never had the time to check out Cowboy Camp. You can bet I will next time, though. Thanks for the video. Oh yeah, liked the music in this video, (much better than the Letts Lake video.😊).
Me and the wife found cowboy camp this summer and spent 4th of July weekend there. Set up trailer down by the creek and had a blast. Was able to float in the creek and stay cool. Definitely hot but had shade canopy. Brought plenty of water and had a blast. Sky is amazing at night. Awesome review and look forward to more on your channel.
Past two places I’ve planned trips to, CPLH had videos on them. Been to Dixie Glade as well. The fishing hole out by nearby North Fork Camp has some late season fishing. All catch and release heritage wild trout. Flows are highly variable and it blows out easy, but fun none the less.
Hi there, I was curious if on your journeys you found any places that would be good for Hammock camping? BTW i'm in the Modesto area, so I'm more Northern california. Thanks again
I sleep in my hammock a lot instead of a tent, I'm a little confused about the question, I would say anywhere you have a couple trees, lol, I'm not sue if you mean a specific terrain or area you may be thinking of, thanks for watching
@@CaliforniaPublicLandHunter I'm looking for a specific place. I've never planned a camping trip, I've always been a part of a group, and it's been a long while. I'm trying to find somewhere to do a solo hammock over night and I honestly don't even know where to begin to find a place.
@@eakinj Look into some of the local Campgrounds in your area, you could even google map, "camping near Me" .Check out the campgrounds you find online and find a place that looks good to you. You could also join out Facebook group, California Public land hunter, and ask some questions there Happy camping
@@kouher7062 get a good mapping system like ONX . It will show you all the public land and all the private land. And yes, you could hunt out of camp if you choose to do so.
