Okay, so, after listening to this a couple of times using a good set of headphones, I discovered "flavors," if you will, from each of them. Little things that one might not notice right off the bat but nevertheless are there. Subtle taps by the drummer. Equally subtle enhancements by the guitar; the kinds of little things that really add to the song. Kind of like putting just enough spice in a dish to make it pop without being overwhelming and distracting. Great track by a great band. I really enjoyed this. Thank you.

Lots of people can play this note for note however, when you cover a track you have to bring something to it something different and inspiring. Something to make you're ears pick up and for your brain to take note. Something to stop whatever you are doing and grab your attention. It has to have feeling and sole to it. This cover has the lot.

Michael Brady ... I agree with you whole-heartedly ... the mandolin and accordion add an incredible breadth of texture and nuance ... and add up to an incredible performance. I'm glad that I read your comment, and was inspired to put my two cents in.

He's so laconic. It's amazing the beat doesn't just fall off of the bone, but when it does it's planned and rhythmic. This guy is the pulse.

Sure just ask the grateful dead if live is better than recording in the studio. They were easily the biggest example of a band that dedicated everything they could to making the live experience great for everyone. Although I think one of the best records the cowboy junkies ever released was that 200 more miles collection. idk maybe I'm just kinda a live music nut. You just gotta keep on livin. L I V I N

Went to see Cowboy Junkies last night at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney (BTW - a great venue). They opened with this song. Margot had been ill for a couple of days -(inbed until a couple of hours before the show) She got up and performed all night. Yes, she had a couple hassles with the cold and I gather they changed her set list as she wouldn't have been able to perform some songs. The audience really appreciated her effort under difficult circumstances. Great band and hope you are getting better Margot.

@Allan Briggs - I’m sorry Margo was sick, but I am not surprised she performed to her best for the audience. It sounds like you had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us Cowboy Junkies fans💕.
