Nothing compassionate about sending animals to slaughterhouses, which is what’s in store for this animal a year or so later. This cowboy doesn’t care one bit about the calf.
@@bgm1911so do you all prefer that the calf be left to die in the frozen water? Who understands your mentality? Damned if you help an animal and damned if you don’t.
@@SL-mk1ke blimey, you’ve forgotten the 3rd option, which is save the animal and show them kindness by not sending them to a slaughterhouse. And give up animal farming
It was the only way it would make it to the dinner table in 9 months, at 0ver $3/lb live weight he couldn't give up that easy. If that wouldn't have worked he would have shimmied out on his belly to go grab it.
The ignorance and irony in your comment is quite sad. He only saved that animal because the flesh he will get from it after murdering it is worth money.
@@Mr.N0.0ne Don't forget all the protein, minerals and vitamins along with its amazing taste. Its quite possible beef could be considered a super food.
@@donaldkasper8346 Bingo, yes, but as you already pointed out, he's caring for an investment, not a pet. I get the feeling the person I asked wouldn't understand that part of the equation. But you felt the need to answer for them for some strange reason.
@@ericbailey6779 Stupid people need an explanation of a bit of what farming is about, especially if the others are not answering but you were unable to comprehend he did not answer for some reason. If he had, there would be nothing for me to add.
@@Hubcool367 Everything that lives will die one day. The only reason that these animals exist in the first place is because of their usefulness to humans. You can be an absolutist and say no animal should ever be used by humans but this has been going on for thousands of years and human society could not have evolved without them, and not only for food. I think if they live a life with minimal suffering that is the most practical and realistic relationship.
@@Hereford1642 you realise everything you just said is fallacious, right? "Society has used slavery for thousands of years and could not have evolved without it". Something isn't "right" simply because we've been doing it forever. And I encourage you to search, watch videos of how factory farmed animals (98-99% of animal agriculture) live, pigs, cows, chicken. Mutilation, disease, death. It is never-ending suffering.
Mr Cowboy, sir, this is swee heat! What a throw! What a heart! Everyone going out of their way to save an animal in distress, in my book, you are truly good people!
Ha, oh wow, that silly mistake happening to me is embarrassing, since i am always rolling my eyes when i see that one! Another favorite of mine, "then/than" and this relatively new phenomenon "...i would OF known...." what ever happened there...? @@eliasalexandre546There is no evidence for any god's existence. He's a myth. To justify the needless torturing and killing of innocent animals because of an old myth about a magic invisible man in the sky is insanity.
What u saw there wasn't easy at all, specially bringing the calf back safely n calmly without the breaking the ice...what u've got in ur head I've no idea !!!
I don't know how it could have been any better, he got the job done and it wasn't an easy one... If you saw someone do it in real life you'd be talking about it to everyone, so why wasn't it incredible ?
@@BigLad513 It was just a lasso throw that many cowboys do as a matter of routine in their daily jobs. Why is this called incredible. It is like calling a person chopping onions incredible. I can understand if the person used a different, novel technique in chopping onions or if he/she created an unexpected art piece. Let us not use superlatives just for clicks.
@@rhymereason3449 I don't know much about you either but I can tell just from your comment you are a deeply unhappy person who was probably sexually abused at an early age.
Thats what a cowboy does, that is one of the reasons the lasso was taught to generation after for rescuing animals aswell as capturing them, well done that man!!!!!!!!!
@@RedHornet326 The animal that he is going to sell for meat. I'm not saying it's wrong, I love a good steak, but the world isn't all unicorn farts and daisies. And his rope skills were subpar at best.
I mean, it's a cow that chews cud. You know what cud is, right? I'm sure it would make a great snuggle pet in your home. Cows are disgusting animals. Not ad bad as pigs but still.
That's the life of a farmer. They do hard work for their animals every day. Feeding, cleaning after them, treating them, building shelters. They are heroes everyday.
Just awesome that he was able to do this! It takes a lot of strength, skill, focus and ...love for another living being. Kudos and gratitude to this man.
I’m an old cowgirl and I still love cowboys my house is decorated to pay tribute to them. People don’t realize how much cowboys did and do for this country. God Bless Them every dang one of them❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
I eat meat so anyone can take this for what little it's worth: the video seemed full of contradiction because the captions are clearly designed to pull at our heart strings, yet those same captions appear oblivious to what the man ultimately plans for that animal. The save is certainly impressive though.
Wow you're an incredible soul. You came to the aid of that poor little calf when most people would say oh that poor thing and do nothing. May the Creator bring you many blessings. For what little it's worth you have my respect sir. You did a great thing in helping that calf. Thank you for sharing this video. It is truly heart warming. This world needs more people who actually care about more than themselves. You've shown that there are still people who care about those poor creatures who are unable to help themselves. Thanks again for sharing your amazing video. I enjoyed seeing it.
Wonderful and precious man, thank you to save this calf, hope you will read comments to see the one I let today, God bless you and your family, your an angel.
