Dallas didn’t start a single starter in the preseason So.. 1. First playing time for starters 2. New offensive coordinator 3. A bad weather game 4. Beat the breaks of a playoff team 40-0 that made moves to get better but of course they point out how much money Dak makes. I’d imagine it’s because we’ve seen them play great in the preseason and had a great training camp and last night it was pouring rain. There isn’t a very exciting or strong argument to make to talk about a few tight end drops in pouring rain in the first game of the season. Would make for pretty boring tv because there’s just not enough there to talk about today.

Another Rogers fan. I don't like him but he is a great player but he is getting older. He's almost 40 and he doesn't run the ball a lot. He scrambles a little bit and I saw what happened with the Giants. Even though the Giants are a terrible team and the Jets front, seven on the o line is not great. They're actually bad because a lot of their guys and the oline this hurt now if all their guys on the Jets 0 line was healthy. I'd give him a chance

The Dallas offense was far from erratic last nite. They scored on 5 of 7 drives, and ate up clock keeping that defense fresh whenever they did see the field. They looked like they could get what they wanted, when they needed it, at will. Mind you there were 3 drops in the rain that would’ve resulted in tds. Big Mike will show out this Sunday in Dallas

And they were about 4-6 overall drops that were beautiful throws lol Dak was farrrr from erratic. The TE’s specifically dropped 3/4 on their own that were directly in their hands. Even the contested throws were in the spot the receivers could make a play and they just couldn’t but the throws themselves were accurate.

For them to win the way they did while it was pouring rain the way it was is crazy! Dominant and effective and the defense were straight dawgs! I was at this game it was crazy raining and they still showed out. Great game for cowboys confidence and I hope that carry’s to the rest of the season.

I can’t remember Dallas having a more complete defense, the past years our secondary was horrible, but with Diggs and Gilmore (the yin and yang) we finally can trust them to not give up big plays all the time.

Diggs is still going to give up some big plays, but he's going to more than make up for it with game-changing plays of his own. This defense isn't just going to limit its opponents. This defense is going to score points and set up easy scoring drives for the offense. So when teams play Dallas they'll know that they need to score 30+ and that's going to be tough to do. Honestly, Dallas took their foot off the gas and coasted for the entire 4th quarter and still won 40-0. I'm not sure if I've EVER seen such a complete victory before.

I think this game told more about the Giants than the Cowboys. The looked completely outmatched from a physical standpoint and scheme standpoint. This was a perfect test for a upstart Giants team who improved in the offseason just to get absolute destroyed by a division rival that has owned them. I’m not saying the season is over because at the end of the day it’s one game but Philly, San Francisco and Dallas are miles ahead of the Giants in the NFC

Burrow has only beat them once and I am pretty sure that was with the Bengals at home. Browns might have a terrible year and it seems like they just always beat the Bengals. Its basically the same with Dallas. They could loose to everybody but seem to own the division. Especially if Dak is playing. He is something like 28-7 against the NFC East. They always beat the Giants. Giants haven't beat Dak since 2016 the one win they do have since I think Dalton was the QB

Richard Sherman is one of my favorite players ever. For a few years he had it all. The brains and then brawn, the speed and the toughness, the inner fire and the teamwork=-he even had the personality. So far I'm loving him as a TV personality. Ok, someone had to fault the cowboys or there wouldn't be any discussion so I get that. To me its all a wash. The game was decided by turnovers. Giants were completely deflated by halftime. Cowboys look strong, but they looked strong last year too. Prescott seems like a playoff choke artist to me. But if the games start like this one did, it won't be a factor. So Sherm's point on this is valid in my view. Maybe not so much the one about passing yards in a rainy game.

Yes. Cowboys can do this in regular season and stink up the joint in the playoffs. However, I don't remember such a dominating shutout. Last year we destroyed Minnesota but we let them get a FG I think. We were SPECIAL on D and ST. Offense is yet to be determined but if it was on fire it'd be 60-0. We have a little rust on O of course and that is to be expected. The Defense doesn't care about rust. They are fast and physical and it is so nice to see.

Sherman I agree the Cowboys offense was a little stale overall; It’s week 1. However, putting it all on Dak is crazy. There were about 4 significant dropped balls and 2 of those would’ve of been TD’s. It’s week 1 we’ll see the offense wake up. Just like last year the foe only remember Daks bad games but forget there’s games that were won because of Dak and the offense when the D was lacking. This will be a different year for them boys and I’m not your typical fan to just say that. We’ll get to nfc championship at a minimum, we better 😂

Dak was good! Quick decisions, and the offense scored 27 points in 51 snaps! Should have more points, but Ferguson dropped a touchdown and a few other plays. But the quick decisions is something I am excited about. He had a tendency to hold on to the ball too long under Kellen Moore.

I get that the offense could do a bit better, but we saw how much it was pouring rain and before we even knew it we were up 2 scores. On top of that we had two great drives towards the end of the half and to start the second half. Also the drops by Hendershot and Ferguson would’ve made Dak’s stats more favorable to people, but this is Mikes philosophy once we got up, don’t just get putting points on the board and be up tempo, control the game and clock and don’t put the ball at risk even if it’s a good throw.
